D-SHEP Academy Invests Pathfinders, Masterguides in Faith and Service
SABLAYAN, OCCIDENTAL MINDORO — Guided by the theme “Chosen for Mission: Rooted and Ready,” D-SHEP Foundation Inc. Academy formally invested its Pathfinder and Masterguide candidates during an induction ceremony held Friday, September 25, 2026.
The ceremony centered on the candidates’ commitment to faith, leadership, discipline, service, and personal growth as they formally accepted the responsibilities of becoming Pathfinders and Masterguides.
The program opened with the Entrance of Colors, followed by the opening prayer led by MGT. March Cuyos. MGT. Queency Marangga then led the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the Pathfinder Song.
The candidates’ commitment was highlighted through the recitation of the Pathfinder Pledge, led by PF. Juliana Joy Cadiao, followed by the Pathfinder Law, led by PF. Nhel Jane Trectecan, and the Pathfinder Aim and Motto, led by PF. Julian Binaohan IV.
Serving as the guest speaker was MG. Renato O. Liberato, District Pastor of Central Occidental Mindoro 1, who underscored the relationship between God's acceptance, faith, and the responsibility of responding to His calling.
“If you believe in Him, if you love Him, then you accept Him. And from the beginning, He accepted us,” Liberato said.
He also emphasized that being chosen by God involves a conscious response to His calling.
“Chosen by God is not a privilege, but a choice,” he added.
The ceremony proceeded to the presentation of candidates, led by MG. Jobel O. Patillas and MG. Lordielyn Aguilar. The candidates then participated in the pledge acceptance and candle-lighting ceremony, with the candle symbolizing their commitment to live out the Pathfinder and Masterguide ideals through faith and service.
The ceremony also highlighted the candidates’ commitment to personal fitness through God, Pathfinder Trust, core study classes, leadership, and discipline, emphasizing the importance of being prepared both spiritually and personally for their responsibilities.
Following the presentation, MG. Renato O. Liberato formally accepted and donned the newly invested Pathfinders and Master Guides, marking their official commitment to the organization and its mission.
As a gesture of appreciation, MGT. Mercy Ponceja and PF. Juliana Joy Cadiao presented a certificate and token to Liberato for serving as the ceremony’s guest speaker.
Liberato also led the closing prayer before the program concluded with the Recessional of Colors.
The ceremony was spearheaded by MG. Jobel O. Patillas, together with the Masterguide and Pathfinder officers, and received the full support of the school administration, teachers, and students.
The induction served as a reminder to the newly invested members that being chosen for a mission comes with the responsibility to remain rooted in faith, ready to serve, and committed to leadership.
