RSASHS holds Mister and Miss ASEAN-UNESCO 2023

Aimed to promote ASEAN-UNESCO awareness and appreciate international peace and unity, Roxas Stand-Alone Senior High School conducted the search for Mr. and Ms. ASEAN-UNESCO 2023, October 23, Monday.

The activity was participated by representatives of each section from Grade 11 and 12 curricula.

RSASHS retains girls' volleyball crown

Roxas Stand-Alone Senior High School exhibited steely resolve in the first and second sets to beat Roxas National High School and retain the high school girls' volleyball crown, Saturday, at Muñoz National High School Gymnasium.

The Lady RSASHSpikers won the best-of-three sets in this year's Roxas West District Women's Volleyball Championship Match, 2-0.

Meanwhile, the team is set to prepare for the upcoming municipal meet under the supervision of Mr. Jayrome A. Martinez, coach.

2023 ASEAN-UNESCO CELEBRATION

As part of the commemoration of the diverse cultures and traditions of the ASEAN region, the RSASHS community embarked on a trivia hunt and sharing of historical tidbits and cultural insights about the vibrant community of ASEAN nations, October 16.

RAISE YOUR FLAG CHALLENGE

Raising the flags of the 10 ASEAN countries at Roxas Stand-Alone Senior High School is a meaningful and educational activity.

Pursuant to the Regional Memorandum No. 318, s. 2023, RSASHS promotes cultural awareness and international understanding among students today, October 9 by displaying the flags of ASEAN member states.

The said activity encourages students to learn about the diversity and cooperation within the Southeast Asian region. Hence, a positive initiative that contributes to global awareness and fosters a sense of unity among the learners.

Information Drive Month Celebration

Aimed to familiarize the ASEAN-UNESCO culture, history, objectives, and initiatives; promote ASEAN-UNESCO awareness among DepEd stakeholders, and appreciate the international peace and security, Roxas Stand-Alone Senior High School marked the celebration of 2023 ASEAN-UNESCO Information Drive Month on October 2. The program commenced with the singing of the ASEAN anthem during the flag raising ceremony and was followed by ASEAN-UNESCO On-The-Spot Quiz Challenge with Theona Grace Manuel of Grade 11-Ruby, emerged as the champion.

The kick-off activities were made possible through the leadership of the Social Science Coordinator, Ma'am Rowena P. Barrientos, with the help of class advisers and with the supervision of the school head, Dr. Marlou B. Yadao.

There is no announcement or declaration of suspension of classes tomirrow August 29, 2023 from the PGI.

Classes will push through except for those schools in municipalities still under typhoon signal.

LOOK | PROJECT GUPIT 2023

Spearheaded by the project proponent, Ma'am Rowena P. Barrientos, the Project GUPIT (Grooming Uplifts Performance, Improves students' Totality) was a success as defined by the smiles on students' and teachers' faces with their "fresh haircuts".

Special thanks to the partnership of H Bulanadi Salon and Ryan Pascua Salon whose efforts and support made it a reality.
