September's last flag raising inspires students

Grade 8 Diamond led the final flag-raising ceremony for September at the TAPS Gymnasium last Monday, September 28.

The assembly began with a prayer, the singing of the national anthem, the recitation of the patriotic pledge, and the TAPS hymn.

To encourage discipline and school pride, recognition was awarded to the Cleanest Classrooms, Well-Behaved Classes, and the week's Well-Behaved Students and English Speakers.

The event concluded with the oath-taking of newly elected club officers, led by Miss Arlizz Ganal, reminding student leaders of their commitment to serve the TAPSian community with purpose.

TAPSians Cast Votes in 2026 School Election

TAPSians took part in the 2026 School Election, casting their votes to choose the students they believed could best represent the school community.

After the ballots were counted, the election results were officially announced, revealing the students who earned the trust of their fellow TAPSians. The newly elected student leaders are set to take on their responsibilities and serve as representatives of the student body.

The election highlighted the students’ active participation in school affairs as TAPSians made their choices and exercised their voices through their votes.

Sebastian Dominates District Billiards, Qualifies for LD 5 Meet

Florentino Sebastian III of TAPS Roxas Nassim Campus proved his skill on the pool table after winning the District Meet 2026 Billiards Competition.

Sebastian played great right from the start. On August 10, he beat Muñoz NHS in the elimination round. He kept winning on August 12, taking down RSASHS in the semifinals and then beating Worldstar in the finals to win the Gold medal in 9-Ball.

To finish his amazing run, Sebastian defeated the player from Roxas East today, August 15. With this big win, he is officially the overall Champion and will now move on to compete in the LD 5 Meet!

His focus and great shots brought pride to the entire TAPSian community.

TAPS Shines in District Athletic Meet 2026 Badminton Event

ROXAS, ISABELA — TAPSian shuttlers brought home multiple medals after dominating the District Athletic Meet 2026 Badminton Event Championship held in Roxas West District on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

In the Elementary Division, Isaiah Sinaban captured the Gold medal in the Singles A Boys category. Sinaban swept his early matches against RWCS (21-13) and NES (21-9) before dominating the battle for gold against the Singles B winner from RWCS with a 15-6 victory, earning a spot as a Municipal Qualifier.

In the High School Division, Juris Ramos bagged the Silver medal in the Singles B Boys category.

Adding to the school's medal tally, Hermione Dancel secured a Bronze medal in the Singles A Girls category, while the pair of Iyana Diampoc and Agatha Vadil earned a Bronze medal in the Doubles Girls division.

The student-athletes showed exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the games as they represented their school with pride and qualified for the next level of competition.

TAPSian Dancers Compete in District Meet 2026

ROXAS, ISABELA — The TAPSian Dancers proudly represented their school during the District Meet 2026 held at Roxas Stand Alone Senior High School (RSASHS) on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

The dancers competed in three categories—Elementary Bracket 3 Standard, Secondary Bracket 3 Standard, and Secondary Bracket 3 Latin—exhibiting their skills in various ballroom dance events.

In the Elementary Bracket 3 Standard category, Dion Diego and Keizzy Marie Perez won first place in Tango, Waltz, and Quickstep, while placing second in Slow Foxtrot, Foxtrot, and Marathon.

Meanwhile, Princess Aliah Maniego and Anjonico Casungcad, representing the Secondary Bracket 3 Standard category, placed third across all six events: Slow Foxtrot, Tango, Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, and Marathon.

Furthermore, Mateusz Saet and Precious Megyn Valdrez, who represented the Secondary Bracket 3 Latin category, secured third place in Cha-cha, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive, while finishing fourth in Samba and Marathon.

The dancers showcased remarkable talent, discipline, and teamwork as they competed against performers from schools across the district. Their outstanding performance reflected months of dedication, rigorous training, and a deep commitment to representing their school with pride.
