Cagayan State University – Andrews Campus student and faculty from the College of Hospitality Management represented the province of Cagayan and secured a silver medal in the recently concluded 2023 Cagayan Valley Regional Skills Competition (RSC) held at the Southern Isabela College of Arts and Trades (SICAT) in Santiago City, Isabela.

Ms. Final Campos, a fourth-year CHM student, and Chef Anthony Cuntapay, a CHM faculty member, joined the pool of competitors and experts who participated in the cooking category of the skills competition.

Their winning dishes were the following:
Appetizer: ROSTI POTATO WITH QUAIL EGG
Salad: OLIVER SALAD WITH BALSAMIC REDUCTION
Main course: CHICKEN KIEV
Dessert: VANILLA SPONGE WITH STRAWBERRY BAVAROIS

Further, the competitor and expert from the province of Nueva Vizcaya brought home the bronze medal, while the competitor and expert from the province of Isabela bagged the gold medal.

The Campus TVET Office extends our warmest congratulations to Chef Anthony Cuntapay and Ms. Final Campos for securing the 2nd place in the 2023 RSC and for representing not only CSU Andrews but the whole Cagayan Province.
