‎Capiz State University - Main Campus' contestant, Brian Bendo, a first year Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) student, brought home the champion title, as he won the 30th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) Provincial Elimination 2026 held at Hotel Veronica, Pueblo de Panay, Roxas City, Capiz, September 29.
‎
‎The competition tested participants across three rounds — the first two valued at 10 points each, and the final round at 20 points.
‎
‎Bendo earned 8 points in Round 1, 5 in Round 2, and 10 in the Final, securing the highest cumulative score of 23 points and claiming the top spot.
‎
‎"I honestly wasn't able to answer a lot of questions because of my lack of knowledge... I can't stop thinking about it. However, I am so happy that I won. Despite my hectic schedules after intrams, I tried so hard to give time for [review] because I wanted to win. And my effort being [rewarded] like this is so nice. Really nice! It's because I used to experience working so hard for something and never getting what I wantedーI have experienced the sorrow of my passion not bearing fruit. But, not today, and that gives me hope. So, thank you for everyone who gave me this opportunity!" shared Bendo.
‎
‎Bendo, along with the other two winners, will then represent the Capiz province in the upcoming 30th PSQ Regional Championship on October 14, 2026 that will be hosted by the Iloilo province.
‎
‎He was mentored and coached by Engr. Danny Dave Fabiaña, Engr. Ma. Adeline Diaz, and Engr. Carlo Cabanus, who guided his preparation throughout the contest period.
‎
‎The PSQ assesses students’ proficiency in statistics and data fundamentals, identifying the country’s most promising young minds in the field.
‎
‎Bendo’s victory marks a proud milestone for CAPSU–Main, demonstrating the strength of its students and the support of its faculty.

On the last day of Intramurals 2026, EE students have exhibited extraordinary flexibility and highly questionable aeroflying techniques, proving once again that electrical engineering may involve more than just circuits—it apparently involves defying gravity. 🧑‍🚀 🧐

TJ Bajarde claimed the Gold Medal after reaching an alleged 7-foot jumping height, leaving gravity with no choice but to resign. 🏅🚀

One final game. One giant leap. Zero respect for gravity. 🪽⚡️

A seemingly innocuous dance video has surfaced, featuring EE students exhibiting an alarming amount of rhythm, confidence, and unexplained coordination.

Is this merely a recreational display of questionable dance decisions, or could it be a clandestine preview of what awaits at the Streetdance Competition? 🤔

The evidence is inconclusive. The moves, however, are undeniable. ⚡️

Tension is at an all-time high as the Electrical Engineering powerhouse risks it all on the floor. Sources confirm calculate-on-the-fly hand-eye coordination is failing under the immense pressure of "tres" and "sais". Will they clench the gold, or will the ball bounce twice? Stay tuned.
