📬 Pen-Pal Box Charade: Mechanics and Guidelines 📬
Exciting news, RSASHS students! It’s time to get creative and join the Pen-Pal Box Charade, where you can connect with your peers anonymously through the power of letters. Here’s everything you need to know to participate:
1. Participants
Who can join?
> All students of Roxas Stand-Alone Senior High School are encouraged to participate in this fun and mysterious letter exchange! Languages Club Officers and selected members will facilitate the activity but will not participate in the letter exchanges to ensure fairness and smooth facilitation.
2. Registration Process
How to Register:
> Students must register via Google Forms that will be shared in their respective class Group Chats. When registering, participants will submit their real names and their chosen code names to maintain anonymity.
Choosing Your Code Name:
> Participants are responsible for creating their own unique code names. Get creative! Choose something catchy, fun, or mysterious to attract attention and intrigue other participants. Your code name will play a key role in making you stand out!
Below are SAMPLE code names for males and females:
Code Names for Males:
1. Ace Stark (Movie Character - Inspired by Tony Stark/Iron Man)
2. Sh**un X (Historical Figure - Derived from Japanese shoguns with a mysterious twist)
3. Neon Samurai (Anime - Combines the cool vibe of "samurai" with a futuristic "neon" touch)
4. Mozart X (Scientist/Composer - A modern twist on the legendary musician Mozart)
5. Captain Munch (Food - A fun mix of "Captain" and food like munching snacks)
Code Names for Females:
1. Luna Bell (Singer - Luna from Harry Potter combined with a musical element "bell")
2. Queen Kaguya (Anime - Inspired by the character from "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter")
3. Cleopatra Jade (Historical Figure - A mix of Cleopatra's majesty and the mystique of jade)
4. Stella Frost (Movie Character - A mysterious, cool-sounding name inspired by stars and cold imagery)
5. Cherry Whisk (Food - A playful blend of cherries and cooking tools)
These code names are designed to be fun, unique, and intriguing, allowing participants to express themselves through their chosen identity while keeping the mystery alive!
Publishing of Code Names:
> Once all code names are consolidated and validated by the Languages Club, they will be published on a list from which other participants can choose. These code names will be the only identifiers during the activity to ensure anonymity.
3. Activity Duration
Start and End Dates:
> The activity will run from October 1, 2024, to February 15, 2025, with a special Revelation Day scheduled on February 15, 2025 (subject to change depending on circumstances).
Revelation Day:
>After months of exchanging letters anonymously, participants will finally discover the true identity of their pen pals at the Revelation Day event!
4. Fees
No Registration Fee:
> Participation is free of charge, but a PHP 5.00 fee per letter will be collected. This small fee covers the cost of one envelope and paper, which will be provided by the Languages Club.
5. The Post Office
Location:
> A designated area within the Stock Room (beside the e-library) will serve as the "Post Office" for mailing letters. However, participants do not need to go to the Post Office to claim their letters.
Letter Delivery:
> The Languages Club officers will act as the official postmen and postwomen, delivering letters directly to participants in their respective classrooms or designated areas, ensuring convenience and anonymity.
> The letter will be only delivered if the envelope is sealed with the Languages Club's logo sticker.
6. Letter Writing and Delivery
Anonymity is Key:
> When writing your letter, you should only use your code name in the signature and throughout the letter. Never reveal your real name—doing so is grounds for immediate disqualification.
Postmen/Postwomen:
> The Languages Club officers will be responsible for delivering your letters to the intended recipients, ensuring that no real identities are revealed.
Note : The letter will not be verified and delivered if the envelope and paper is not purchased from the Languages Club Post Office.
7. Guidelines and Disqualification
Respectful Communication:
> All participants are expected to use respectful and appropriate language in their letters. Offensive content or any form of misconduct will result in disqualification from the activity.
Disqualification Criteria:
Grounds for disqualification include:
• Early revelation of real identity
• Inappropriate content
• Any behavior that violates the club's guidelines
8. How to Participate
Step 1: Register and Submit Your Code Name:
> Fill out the Google Form to submit your real name and your chosen code name. Your code name will be published on the list for others to see and choose from.
For who didn't submit their code names last week and for those who didn't receive the Google Form link for their sections, you can sign up via this link:

Step 2: Choose a Code Name to Write To:
> Once the list of code names is published, choose a pen-pal code name you’d like to write to! You can start by picking someone whose code name catches your attention.
Step 3: Write and Submit Your Letters:
> After choosing a pen-pal, write your letter using only your code name in the signature and any part of the letter. Drop off your letter at the designated Post Office area, where it will be handled by the Languages Club.
Step 4: Weekly Letter Writing:
> Write and exchange letters regularly (at least once a week) to keep the conversation going. The Languages Club officers will deliver the letters to participants while maintaining anonymity.
