Building Stronger Partnerships: MFONHS SPTA General Assembly Sets the Direction for S.Y. 2026–2027
DUMARAO, CAPIZ — A stronger partnership between home and school takes center stage as Manuel F. Onato National High School (MFONHS) prepares for its School Parents-Teachers Association (SPTA) General Assembly on September 10, 2026.
More than a gathering of parents and teachers, the assembly serves as a venue for sharing updates, presenting school initiatives, strengthening collaboration, and creating a common direction for the welfare and development of Manuelian learners.
The program will be facilitated by Louie John Bernardo, Teacher I, as Master of Ceremony. It will formally begin with a prayer led by Jessa Lagunday, Teacher I, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the Capiz Hymn, both to be led by Syrhen Jondonero, Teacher I.
The opening of the assembly will be followed by welcome remarks from Jose Marcelo Bartonico, Head Teacher I, setting the tone for an engaging and productive gathering.
Vision, Updates, and New Initiatives
One of the highlights of the assembly will be the Message and Updates from Dr. Micle Haguisan, Principal III, who will share important matters concerning the school community and its continuing programs.
Adding energy to the gathering, an intermission number by HDT will provide a moment of entertainment before the discussion shifts toward school development and learner activities.
Reamel De Ama, Teacher II, will present updates in sports, highlighting the school's continuing efforts to promote holistic learner development through athletic activities.
Meanwhile, Mr. Jimmy Buhat, SPTA President, will introduce a proposed project, opening an avenue for parents and the school to work together in supporting initiatives that can contribute to the improvement of the learning environment.
Another significant portion of the program is the Launching of STE Innovation, to be led by Mary Sumagaysay, Teacher III. The initiative reflects the school's continuing efforts to encourage innovation and strengthen opportunities in Science, Technology, and Engineering.
The assembly will also include the presentation of DepEd Order No. 6, s. 2026, providing the school community with relevant policy information and guidance.
One Community, One Direction
The SPTA General Assembly reflects the important role of collaboration in education. When parents, teachers, school leaders, and stakeholders come together, they create opportunities to better understand the needs of learners and support programs designed for their growth.
As the school community gathers, the assembly becomes more than a scheduled activity it becomes a space where ideas are shared, responsibilities are strengthened, and partnerships are renewed.
The program will conclude with closing remarks from Jose Marcelo Bartonico, Head Teacher I, bringing together the key messages and commitments of the gathering.
