𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍: The Capiz State University (CAPSU) Roxas City Main and Burias campuses have officially secured advanced re-accreditation levels from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) for their several academic programs.

Following a rigorous assessment conducted in March 2026, the following programs successfully complied with all the mandatory recommendations:

IN PHOTOS: Capiz State University (CAPSU), together with higher education institutions across the country, joined the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in the nationwide launch of the Project PAG-IBIG Family Empowerment Center on June 3 at the Quadrangle of Romblon State University (RSU) Main Campus.

Project PAG-IBIG, which stands for Parents Access to Growth through Inclusive, Balanced, and Innovative Guidance, is a CHED initiative that supports student-parents, faculty members, and personnel by providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for their children.

The launch was led by CHED Chairperson Hon. Shirley C. Agrupis and CHED Commissioner Hon. Michelle Aguilar-Ong. It was simultaneously participated online by state universities and colleges (SUCs) nationwide in a synchronized ribbon-cutting activity.

Through the establishment of Family Empowerment Centers, beneficiaries can pursue their academic, teaching, research, administrative, and professional responsibilities with greater focus and peace of mind, knowing that their children are being cared for in a secure and conducive setting.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was also signed by partner agencies and participating SUCs to formalize their commitment to the initiative. IN PHOTOS: A total of 43 graduating students of Capiz State University (CAPSU) secured employment through on-the-spot hiring during a two-day job fair spearheaded by the Office of the Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages (OVPEAL) in partnership with C and U Philippines Inc.

The recruitment activity was conducted on June 1 at CAPSU Sigma Satellite College and on June 2 at the CAPSU Roxas City Main Campus, providing graduating students with direct access to employment opportunities even before completing their academic requirements.

Representing the company, C and U Philippines Inc. Human Resource and Management Officer (HRMO) Ms. Kristeen Joy Endrinal personally introduced the company, discussed available career opportunities, and conducted interviews with applicants.

C and U Philippines Inc. specializes in the production of deep-groove ball bearings, water pump bearings, single-row tapered roller bearings, and double-row tapered roller bearings widely used in home appliances, automobiles, water pumps, and related industries.

The activity was organized by the OVPEAL headed by Dr. Salvacion D. Legaspi, together with Prof. Malou B. Albor, University Director for International and National Affairs. Also present during the activity were Roxas City Main Campus Focal Person Dr. Cleo Jude A. Joaquin, CAPSU Sigma Satellite College Director Dr. Eimee D. Potato, External Affairs and Linkages (EAL) campus and satellite college coordinators, and guidance counselors, who assisted in facilitating the successful conduct of the job fair.

𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐍: Capiz State University (CAPSU) Dayao Satellite College has formally received a Certificate of Compliance from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) for its Bachelor of Science in Food Technology program.

The certification was awarded following the inspection conducted by the PRC’s Professional Regulatory Board, verifying that the curriculum and facilities meet the stringent requirements of Republic Act No. 11052 (Philippine Food Technology Act).

This important milestone attests to CAPSU’s commitment to academic excellence and regulatory compliance, ensuring that its Food Technology graduates are highly competent and job ready.

Capiz State University (CAPSU) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture (UNIZG FAZ) of Croatia. The partnership aims to foster collaboration in the areas of teaching, research, innovation and academic exchange, while driving initiatives that advance the international linkage objectives of both institutions.

A virtual signing ceremony was hosted by CAPSU at the Central Administration Boardroom on May 26, 2026.

The memorandum was formalized by CAPSU President Dr. Efren L. Linan and UNIZG FAZ Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Aleksander Mešić Phd.

Key officials from both universities were present to witness the ceremony, including Dr. Salvacion J. Legaspi, Vice President for External Affairs and Linkages; Prof. Malou B. Albor, Director for International and National Affairs; Prof. Rey Mark S. Faderagao, CAPSU Partnership Coordinator with UNIZG FAZ; and Prof. Marija Cerjak, PhD, Vice Dean for Science and International Relations (UNIZG FAZ).

Prof. Edwin James B. Villaflor, External Affairs and Linkages Coordinator of CAPSU Sigma Satellite College, served as the master of ceremonies.

Both institutions expressed optimism for the partnership and looked forward to fruitful collaboration. In his message, Dr. Linan emphasized the significance of the MoU with UNIZG FAZ, stating:

“For CAPSU, this partnership is especially meaningful because agriculture remains central to the lives of many communities. It is not only production, it is about sustainability, food security, livelihood and the kind of innovation that helps communities become more resilient.”

Through this partnership, CAPSU hopes to create more opportunities for faculty, researchers, and students to participate in academic exchange and collaborative initiatives that respond to the needs of local and global communities.
