π½οΈπ¦ͺ Tahong Chips Making, Cakes and Pastries Trainingπ§π°
On December 13β14, 2025, Capiz State University β Dayao Satellite College Extension Office, through Bachelor of Science in Food Technology, successfully conducted the Tahong Chips Making, Cakes and Pastries Training at Capiz State University Dayao Satellite College.
The activity equipped participants with practical food processing skills, focusing on tahong chips, cakes, and pastries, while emphasizing proper food safety and handling practices through hands-on demonstrations and guided activities. By the end of the training, participants were able to produce market-ready food products, showcased through group outputs and product tasting sessions.
The training also covered basic entrepreneurship costing, packaging, and marketing, enabling participants to create potential livelihood plans using their new skills.
Through this initiative, the Dayao Satellite College Extension Office continues to support community development by promoting skills training, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance.

Security and Safety Measures to Anti-Criminality and Victimology as a Response Activity for Global Awareness in Extension Services to Humanity
On December 13β14, 2025, Capiz State University β Dayao Satellite College Extension Office, in coordination with the College of Criminal Justice Education, successfully conducted the SARGE training at CAPSU Dayao, with participants from Barangay Dayao, Roxas City.
The two-day training equipped community members, including the Barangay Peace Action Team, Barangay Council, Lupong Tagapamayapa, and Barangay Health Workers with essential knowledge and practical skills through sessions on:
*Peace and Order and Crime Prevention
*Handling Victims of RA 9262 (Violence Against Women and Children)
*Basic Martial Arts (Disarming Techniques)
*Citizenβs Arrest and Warrantless Arrest
*Determine Symptoms of Drug Abuse
*Disaster Risk Reduction and Management
Through this initiative, the CAPSU Dayao Extension Office reinforced its commitment to community-based safety promotion, crime prevention, disaster preparedness, and victim protectionβempowering local stakeholders toward a safer, more resilient, and orderly community.

ππ± SUPLING: Growing Curiosity and Planting a Love for Reading, One Book at a Time π±π
On December 3β5, 2025, Capiz State University β Dayao Satellite College Extension Office, through the TUL-ID A-PLUS Extension Program, successfully conducted training at the Dinginan Day Care Centers of Centro, Ilawod, and Alba Village.
The three-day activity engaged young learners through storytelling sessions, picture book exploration, interactive reading and βread-alongβ activities, vocabulary and comprehension exercises, and creative drawing, all designed to strengthen early literacy skills and spark a love for reading.
A Parent Awareness Session was also held to emphasize the importance of early literacy, the vital role of parents in building reading habits, and practical ways to create a healthy learning environment at home.
Through the TUL-ID A-PLUS Program reinforced its commitment to nurturing young minds, empowering families, and fostering a culture of reading within the community, planting the seeds of literacy for lifelong learning. π±π

π¨ Training on T-Shirt Printing for PDLs π
October 17, 2025 | BJMP β Male Dormitory, Roxas City, Capiz
The Capiz State University β Dayao Satellite College, Computer Studies Department, through its Extension Services, successfully conducted the first day of the βTraining on T-Shirt Printingβ for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).
Participants were introduced to the core processes of t-shirt printing, including the preparation of materials, setup of equipment, and techniques for transferring designs onto fabric. Through a blend of lectures, live demonstrations, and hands-on workshops, PDLs had the opportunity to create their own printed shirts β gaining valuable and marketable trade skills.
This initiative aims to empower PDLs with livelihood opportunities for sustainable income generation and productive reintegration into society, with potential linkages to local entrepreneurs and businesses.
Special recognition to Prof. Jocelyn S. Legaspi, University Extension Director, for her continued support, and to Dr. Warren S. Celoso, the resource person, for sharing his expertise and guiding the participants throughout the training. π

On October 4, 2025, the College of Criminal Justice Education of Capiz State University β Dayao Satellite College, through its Extension Program (SARGE: Security and Safety Measures to Anti-Criminality and Victimology as Response Activity in the University for Global Awareness for Extension Services to Humanity), successfully conducted a community-based training at Barangay Tabuc, Pontevedra, Capiz.

On October 4, 2025, the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries β Extension Services of Capiz State University, Dayao Satellite College, successfully conducted a Training on Bangus Deboning at the Product Development Laboratory, Dayao, Roxas City. π
The activity gathered participants from the PWD Federation of Roxas City, aiming to equip them with practical skills in bangus deboning and food processing to enhance their livelihood opportunities and promote economic self-sufficiency within the community.
CapSU Dayao remains steadfast in its mission to extend knowledge and empower local communities, especially vulnerable sectors through relevant and meaningful training programs. π

On September 3, 2025, the Criminal Justice Education Department conducted an ocular visit to Barangay Tabuc, Sublangon, and Bailan, Pontevedra, Capiz to discuss the possible partnership for upcoming skills training under the SARGE Program.
This initiative highlights our commitment to empowering communities through skills development and preparedness, ensuring that future programs are responsive to local needs and supportive of sustainable growth.

We were grateful to welcome Ms. Yolly Jean C. EscaΓ±o, Board of Director of the Persons with Disabilities Federation β Roxas City, Capiz, during her visit to the Extension Office last September 1, 2025.
She was warmly received by Engr. Rio L. Vergabera, Extension Chairman, together with the Fisheries Department under the facilitation of Maβam Kenneth Delfin and the Food Technology Department with Maβam Jerna Mae Pabilona and Dr. Janet Ledesma
The visit served as a meeting for the preparations of the upcoming training programs, further strengthening partnerships for inclusive community development.
