Since its establishment in 2010, Don Ynocencio A. Del Rosario National High School has gradually developed its school facilities through national government support. Based on the NSBI data, the school currently has six (6) concrete school buildings with a total of twenty-one (21) rooms, including sixteen (16) instructional classrooms. All buildings remain in good condition and were constructed between 2011 and 2018.
Despite these developments, the school now serves more than 1,300 learners, making the existing classrooms insufficient for a regular single-shift schedule. To continue accommodating all students, the school has been forced to implement a double-shift scheme for almost 7 years, dividing classes into morning and afternoon sessions. While this setup allows learners to attend school, it has greatly affected both students and teachers through shortened class hours, compressed lessons, limited learning opportunities, and increased physical strain from continuous classroom use.
Many learners study in overcrowded conditions and receive less instructional time than they deserve. Teachers, on the other hand, endure extended working hours and heavier workloads just to ensure that no child is left behind. The situation continues to challenge the quality of education and the overall well-being of the school community.
Although the school occupies a one-hectare site with available and enough buildable space for future expansion, additional classrooms and school buildings are urgently needed to address the growing enrollment and to eventually end the double-shift scheme.
In this regard, the school humbly appeals for any assistance, support, or intervention that may be extended for the construction of additional classrooms and educational facilities. Any help from government agencies, stakeholders, private individuals, and partner organizations will greatly contribute to providing learners with a safer, more conducive, and more dignified learning environment.
Every additional classroom built is not only a structure - it is hope for every learner striving for a better future and relief for teachers who continue to sacrifice despite limited resources.
DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara, Mayor Ronnie Dadivas, with your help, we sincerely hope that this concern will be addressed soon. It pains us to see our learners struggle and risk being deprived of the quality education they deserve. We deeply care for their future and humbly appeal for immediate action to ensure that no child is left behind.
