FCU to take wellness pause

Filamer Christian University, Inc. (FCU) is set to hold its wellness break, Oct. 27-31 to ensure rest for students and faculty.

The initiative was headed by the Filamer Christian University Student Republic and was promptly approved by the FCU administration.

“This wellness break is actually very important para sa amon mental health. Especially since consecutive guid ang hell weeks sang amon department,” a student from the College of Nursing said.

Moreover, FCU’s initiative is also in line with the Department of Education’s (DepEd) wellness break directive issued last Oct. 23.

“This midyear break is a recognition of the need to support the overall well-being of our teachers,” DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara said.

Students and faculty are to return on Nov. 3.

Meanwhile, all sports competitions (Chess, Volleyball and Basketball), will proceed tomorrow, October 23.
The adjustments were made in consideration of our students and employees affected by the recent calamity.

In view of the 121st Foundation Anniversary Commemoration Worship Service of Filamer Christian University, Inc. on Friday, August 29, all classes at all levels will be suspended for the whole day to allow employees to attend the event.
