The MKA (Magno, Katrina, Angelica) College & Institute of Technology Inc. It operates courses of study in Pre-Elementary, Elementary, Secondary and Vocational Courses. It is a family corporation headed by Chairman, Mr. Carlos H. Ebreo, and the Directors Mrs. Gloria C. Ebreo, Mr. Paolo C. Ebreo, Ms. Angelica C. Carlo Magno C. Analyn C. Ebreo and Ms. Katrina C. Ebreo. Ebreo, the founder of the insti

tution dreamed to put up this school and give her full support on this project. It was formerly the Gloria Ebreo Trading (also known as GE Trading). The building housed the hardware in the ground floor; mini-grocery, wet and dry market, beauty salon and 6 rooms in the first floor. The decision to establish the MKA was made January 2, 2003. The 6 rooms in the first floor were converted to 6 class rooms. The school with a total area of four hundred sixteen square meters at Barangay San Carlos, Rosario, Batangas is far from pollution, questionable recreational places or railroads hazards. It is conducive to good learning and healthy living. In the first year of operation the school was issued the Government Permit (R-IV) No. K-403 s. 2003 E-365 s, 2003, on September 12, 2003. The permit allows the school to operate the Nursery, Kinder, and Preparatory for Pre-Elementary and Grade I-VI for Elementary Courses. The First Year and Secondary Year Level with Government Permit (R-IV) no. S-128 s. 2004 on November 30, 2004 using the NSEC (New Secondary Education Curriculum). The school has allotted another site or annex with an area of ten thousand square meters which is fifty meters away from present site for future expansion. Three-story building and concrete type and was artistically designed having in mind the student’s comfort and welfare as prime considerations. There is no private college yet in the barrio. Majority of enrollees are coming from the subdivision and nearby barangays who will be benefited by the updated learning experiences provided by MKA CIT. The initial tuition fees and miscellaneous fees are lower than the other private schools but quality education is assured. This institution is a non-sectarian school that admits students in different religions with no discrimination and prejudices. Various developments took place at the said institution. After the construction of a two-story building the school was properly fenced. The Regional Director, Department of Education George R. Garma, respectfully turned-over to the school head, MKA EDUCATIONAL SCHOOL INC. through the Schools Division Superintendent, Division of Batangas, the Government Recognition for the pre-elementary and complete elementary programs. To make quality education more accessible to poor but deserving young people the MKA decided to complete its Secondary Course. On December 4, 2006 the application for Government Recognition of the complete Secondary Curriculum was approved. It is understood that all requirements of the Department of Education for recognition of the program are strictly followed. Mr. Ebreo who is the President of MKA responded with enthusiasm and vigor to the growing clamor for more relevant courses to produce globally competitive graduates. March 15, 2007 by majority vote of the Board of Trustees, they amended the articles of incorporation stating the new name of school, MKA COLLEGE AND INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY INC. (Formerly MKA Educational School Inc.). The operation of technical vocational courses was approved by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) under the Unified TVET Program Registration and Accreditation System (UPTRAS). Additional teachers and office staff were hired. A gymnasium and other classrooms were constructed to cater to the students’ needs. Other school facilities were improved. In terms of academic excellence, sports and other related activities, the school through the efforts of committed teachers took part in different contests at the school, district and even division levels. In-Service Training (INSET) SLAC SESSIONS are also conducted every Wednesday of the week to upgrade teachers’ competencies in teaching and to develop camaraderie among them. Today, more than ever, MKA remains steadfast in its commitment to impart relevant and quality education.
