The University has been made aware of fraudulent emails, phone calls, and Google Chat messages from an individual or entity maliciously impersonating Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo, President of Batangas State University, The National Engineering University. These communications falsely claim to be from Dr. Ronquillo or the Office of the University President and aim to mislead recipients.
Recent reports involve an external account using Dr. Ronquillo’s name and identity to communicate with recipients. The University is actively addressing these incidents by notifying relevant authorities and pursuing appropriate legal action to prevent further harm or deception. Batangas State University remains steadfast in upholding the highest standards of integrity and encourages anyone encountering similar fraudulent activities to report them.
We emphasize that these messages are not authorized by Dr. Ronquillo or Batangas State University. The University strongly condemns such fraudulent activities and assures the public that we are actively investigating this matter to prevent further misuse of our name and reputation.
For reference, official communications from the Office of the University President will only come from the email addresses [email protected] and [email protected].
