FREE resources for Filipino Childrens' Books online. I personally checked these resources and the Childrens' books are available in different formats - PDF download, audio, or read-along videos. Each of these resources have very rich collections of books ideal for younger readers. Check out the Bloom Digital Library, they even have books in local languages such as Hiligaynon and others. Teachers, parents, librarians, and kids (or kids at heart) are encouraged to save this.

To further promote love for books, reading, and libraries among students and the whole DMMMSU community, the L*D prepared various contests/activities for every Ka-Don Mariano to enjoy and participate in. Among these activities are:

88th National Book Week Celebration
DIGITAL POSTER MAKING CONTEST
GUIDELINES:
1. The digital poster making contest is open to all Senior High School and College/University students in Region I.
2. All prospective contestants (only one entry per artist but more entries from the same institution are encouraged) shall register online at https://forms.gle/hVuc3gAhfRTkKkHF8. The contestant grants the regional council to collect personal and sensitive personal information to be used primarily for the fair conduct of the contest and in similar undertaking during the celebration of the 88th NBW.
3. The poster should be the artistβs personal visualization of the 2022 National Book Week theme βBasa. Bayan. Bukasβ.
5. The entry shall possess the following:
β’ Poster must be in an A4 size format (8.27βx11.69β) 300 DPI resolution, in a PORTRAINT orientation.
β’ Rendered in PNG and RGB colors.
β’ Could use any software applications (e.g. Photoshop, Canva, etc.)
β’ Submitted entry must indicate the software app used and shall submit the entry both in pdf and the format of the app used.
β’ For the purposes of the contest judging, the pdf format of the entry will be used.
6. For verification purposes, a time lapse video recording of the participant creating the artwork/poster is also required. Non-Compliance may mean disqualification.
7. Entry must be original and unpublished work of the artist.
8. Entry should be submitted to the PLAI IRLC email address at [email protected] on or before November 11, 2022.
7. The winning entry shall become property of PLAI-IRLC upon receipt of the prize by the artists and will be the entry of the PLAI- Ilocos Region Librarian Council in the National Level and to any other purposes.
