The National Historical Commission of the Philippines joins the Filipino people in celebrating National Flag Days starting today, the 124th anniversary of the Battle of Alapan.

It may be remembered that after Filipino forces won in Alapan, Imus City, Cavite on 28 May 1898, President Emilio Aguinaldo unfurled the National Flag for the first time in his headquarters in Cavite City.
