Isn't it funny how yung tagalog word for "love" and "expensive"- or in my case, ' can't afford '- is the same?

Because God's love for us isn't as simple as a word that is spoken.

Kasi Jesus showed it through action. He died for you and for me.

Our Lord, the beloved son of our Heavenly Father paid what we can never afford - salvation from our sins- through the blood that He spilled that we may have hope and be with Him.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
