Today, September 24, 2026, the 𝙂𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜-𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙧 𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 (𝙎𝙎𝙇𝙂) 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙨 conducted their first meeting for the second term to discuss the plans, projects, and initiatives for the upcoming term.

Alam mo ba na bago pa man dumating ang mga Espanyol, mayroon nang sariling sistema ng pagsulat ang mga sinaunang Pilipino? Bukod dito, isang dayuhan din ang naging bahagi ng pagsusulong ng pagkakaroon ng pambansang wika sa Pilipinas. ✍🏻

Sa ikaanim na tampok ng ating WikaPedia, ating balikan ang ilang kawili-wiling kaalaman tungkol sa kasaysayan ng ating pambansang wika. Mula sa pagkakaroon ng pambansang wika hanggang sa sinaunang sistema ng pagsulat na Baybayin, tuklasin natin kung paano naging bahagi ng ating wika ang kasaysayan, kultura, at pagkakakilanlan ng mga Pilipino.

Ang wikang Filipino ay hindi lamang paraan ng pakikipagkomunikasyon. Bitbit nito ang kasaysayan at pagkakakilanlan ng ating bansa. Kaya naman, halina’t patuloy nating tuklasin at pahalagahan ang yaman ng ating wika! 🇵🇭

Nalilito ka rin ba kung kailan ginagamit ang “rin” at “din,” “rito” at “dito,” o “raw” at “daw”? Sa ating pang-araw-araw na pakikipag-usap, madalas nating ginagamit ang mga salitang ito, ngunit may mga tuntunin na dapat nating tandaan upang magamit ang mga ito nang wasto.

Sa ikalimang tampok ng ating WikaPedia, ating alamin ang pagkakaiba at tamang paggamit ng rin at din, rito at dito, at raw at daw. Sa simpleng mga tuntunin at halimbawa, mas mauunawaan natin kung kailan dapat gamitin ang bawat isa.

Maliit man ang pagkakaiba sa mga salita, mahalaga pa rin ang wastong paggamit nito upang maging malinaw at maayos ang ating pagpapahayag. Kaya naman, halina’t pag-aralan at gamitin natin nang tama ang ating wikang Filipino! 🇵🇭

Marahil, may mga nagsasabi pa ring “Tagalog,” o hindi kaya nama’y napapakamot na lamang ng ulo dahil hindi alam ang isasagot. Ilang taon na ang nakalilipas nang ang ating pambansang wika ay dumaan sa pagbabago—mula Tagalog, naging Pilipino, hanggang sa ito ay tuluyang tinawag na wikang Filipino. Ngunit ano nga ba ang pagkakaiba ng mga ito?

On this 31st day of August, we pay tribute to the heroes whose courage paved the way for our freedom, whose sacrifices and dedication helped set our nation free, and whose actions changed the course of our country's history.

We also pay tribute to our modern-day heroes—whether they are wearing a lab coat, working abroad, holding a piece of chalk, planting crops, or using their voices and pens to speak up. Every individual who serves with pride and dedication is a hero who honors our beloved country.

As we commemorate this day, may we also live out the spirit of heroism in our own ways. May we continue carrying their legacy and never allow their sacrifices to go to waste. Let us protect the freedom they fought for by becoming responsible, compassionate, and courageous citizens who contribute to the betterment of our country.
