Scouts attend Red Cross CPR Lecture and Bandaging Techniques Training Caravan
On October 18, 2025, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines – Romblon National High School Unit participated in the Red Cross CPR Lecture Training Caravan and Bandaging Techniques held at the RNHS Quadrangle. The activity was spearheaded by the Philippine Red Cross – Romblon Chapter, aligning with the theme, “Shaping Culture: Towards a CPR-Ready Philippines.”
The training commenced at 7:00 a.m., gathering scouts and student leaders from the GSP and SSLG whom are eager to learn essential life-saving skills. Red Cross representatives facilitated a comprehensive lecture on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), emphasizing its importance in emergency response and preparedness. The session also included hands-on demonstrations and bandaging exercises, allowing participants to practice proper techniques in treating injuries and managing medical situations effectively.
Throughout the activity, BSP-RNHS scouts exhibited discipline, enthusiasm, and teamwork, embodying the Scouting spirit of being “Laging Handa”. The lecture not only enhanced their practical knowledge but also instilled a deeper sense of responsibility and confidence in responding to real-life emergencies.
The CPR Lecture Training Caravan served as a vital step in promoting community safety awareness and nurturing a culture of readiness and compassion among the youth. With the guidance of the Philippine Red Cross and the support of the school administration, the activity became a meaningful experience that strengthened both skill and service among the scouts.
