The school provides quality education to talented but underprivileged children from disadvantaged communities. The nearest school for t

he children in Payatas is facing lack of teachers, teaching materials and classrooms. And additional problem are the difficult working conditions resulting to lots of resignations. These factors mainly affect the dreams and hopes of many children in Payatas. That is why the Papaya Academy School was built. School System:
The Papaya Academy is teaching a Kindergarten group as well as Grades 1 to 6 and different subjects like Math, Science, English, Filipino, EPP, ESP, MAPEH, Mother Tongue and Computer. The school also focuses not only on the curricular activities but also on non-curricular activities like scouting, chess, taekwondo, drama, volleyball, basketball, table-tennis and theater (drama, singing and dancing). The school has several facilities that help the children in their learning. A library, audio and computer room, administration office, gymnasium, kitchen, clinic and a science laboratory. Besides of all the activities done annually, the children will have their educational tours, sports and music competitions with other schools. The children and the teachers have different religious backgrounds, and all religions are respected. The Teachers in Papaya Academy are professionals and are equiped with talents which can be of good help for their students. Selection:
Our classrooms are limited for 30 students per class and the students are pre-tested to ensure that they are able to work successfully. The studentsare not selected according to their race, religion or political views but on the basis of their skills and capabilities as a student. Besides the children, the parents are involved in the selection. The parents must fully support their child along the years in Papaya Academy, because this kind of help really pays off. Knowing that Papaya Academy is solely intended for the indigent families in Payatas, we focus not only on the economic situation of the family but also on the motivation and willingness of the children as well as the parents.
