Entrepreneurial Product Innovations and Simulation: Showcase of Creative Entrepreneurial Minds

On May 15, the Grade 12 Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) students all gathered at the SISHS quadrangle to set up stalls to simulate what happens in the world of business.

Spearheaded by Mrs. Florenda Manongas, Business Enterprise Simulation Subject Teacher, the ABM students were tasked to create a business plan to guide them on how to operate and manage their businesses.

At 7:00 AM, the program officially started. The air was filled with a pleasant smell, and an atmosphere similar to that of a festival enveloped the quadrangle. All of the ABM students finished setting up their stalls, just in time for the break-time of all the students.

All of the students from the different strands and track all rushed down to check out what the ABM 12 had created for them. The quadrangle was filled with stalls, showcasing different products from the creative minds of the future entrepreneurs. The Grade 12 ABM students employed different promotional strategies from their business plans, such as giving free drinks for every purchase, giving items such as photo cards for every purchase of a bundle, providing discounts, and many more.

After the program concluded, everything was sold out, the Grade 12 ABM students cheered as they not only met their quota, but also gained more than what they needed to, showcasing the potential to be a great entrepreneur. Shortly after, groups calculated their net profit, and it showed that everyone gained profit from their selling. The Business Enterprise Simulation turned out to be successful. Mrs. Florenda Manongas congratulated everyone and thanked them for their cooperation, complimenting them and giving everyone a pat on the back for their good work.

The Entrepreneurial Product Innovations and Simulation program was a good opportunity to let ABM students experience what really happens when running a business, showing the work that happens behind the scenes, the struggles of setting up the stall and attracting customers, and the amount of time and effort needed to operate and manage a business.

Product Innovation Launching Symposium cm Poster and Oral (PILSyPO): Battle of Creativity

On May 13, 2024, 15 groups from ABM 12 posted their carefully designed and crafted posters, as they prepared to defend it from the skillful panelists.

After the short program for the PILSyPO concluded, every single group all climbed up to the Audio Visual Room (AVR), to post their posters, and prepare their products, as they will soon defend their product innovation, with the help of their carefully crafted poster. The panelists for the poster presentation are Ma'am Ana Marie Sabay, Sir Peter Cloma, Sir AJ Jacobe and Sir Lucio De Asis and Sir Marlon Andal.

The panelists examined every single group, carefully inspecting for errors and inconsistencies in their posters. However, the ABM innovators did not falter even when put up against such a challenge. They stood up and with all their hearts and souls, they rebutted their rebuttals, as they answered each question from all of the panelists that came to inspect their poster.

As the poster presentation concluded, the panelists all came together to discuss the groups who will be awarded the 'Best in Poster Presentation' award. This award will be revealed on their recognition day.

On May 13, 2024, five (5) groups from ABM 12 faced their fears and took the stage, as they presented their product innovation to a number of panelists.

After the short program for the PILSyPO concluded, the five (5) groups, who are Fruffee; Belites Nutrishake; KaonTa-Konyaki; Pancarma Wraps; and Savoy Swirls, headed up to the Library to prepare their products, as they will soon face the panelists that will judge their product innovation. The panelists for the oral presentation are Ma'am Ana Rose Valila, Ma'am Jocelyn Barata, and Sir Noli Idala.

Group after group, they all gracefully presented their innovation assisted with their carefully crafted slides that aimed to captivate the attention of the panelists, as if they were presenting to potential investors.

As the oral presentation concluded, the panelists all came together to discuss the groups who will be awarded the 'Best in Oral Presentation' award. This award will be revealed on their recognition day.
