GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT CULMINATING PROGRAM 2025

The Gender and Development Culminating Program was successfully conducted at Alberto’s Hall with the theme, “Safe Space School: Promoting Respect and Safety.” Guided by the Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313), the program strengthened awareness and commitment toward building a respectful, inclusive, and safe school environment for all.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. John Ray G. Hernandez, our Guest Speaker, for his informative discussion, and to Ms. Priscilla V. Jose for her inspiring and empowering message.

Special appreciation is given to our School Head, Dr. Caren Catuiran , the Head Teachers, Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel, and our dedicated SPTA Officers for their unwavering support and cooperation, which greatly contributed to the success of this meaningful activity.

Together, we continue to champion respect, dignity, and safety in our school community. 🧡

📍 EDUCATIONAL TOUR 2025 | LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

Students and teachers took part in the Educational Tour, where learning happened outside the classroom. The tour gave students the chance to see and experience real-life situations that helped them better understand their lessons. It also helped them build friendships, confidence, and appreciation for different places and cultural places.

This meaningful activity would not have been possible without the support of our school head, head teachers, SPTAs, teachers, parents, and partner institutions.

Southville 8C National High School remains committed to giving students learning experiences that go beyond the four corners of the classroom.

School Conducts NCAE Orienration

The school held its NCAE Preparatory Meeting to finalize guidelines, roles, and arrangements for the upcoming National Career Assessment Examination.

Key points discussed included exam procedures, room assignments, student flow, and ICT support to ensure a smooth and organized administration.

We extends appreciation to the Technical Working Group (TWG), Head Teachers, the ICT Coordinator, and the School Head for their leadership and coordination in preparing for the examination.

With all preparations underway, the school is set to support students in achieving a meaningful and successful NCAE experience.

In compliance with Regional Memorandum No. 596, s. 2025, Southville 8C National High School proudly held its Career Guidance Fair last December 5, 2025 with the theme
“My Present Choices, My Future: Heading to My Career Pathways.”

The celebration was filled with meaningful activities from Grades 7–9 such as resume writing, liham pahintulot, career dress-up, reflections, posters and slogans, info commercials, career data gathering, and scientist biographies, all designed to help learners connect their studies with future career paths.

For Grade 10, the program proper featured inspiring highlights: a Career Talk by Ma’am Maricel Abaya (Teacher III/Guidance Designate, San Isidro SHS), an Inspirational Message from alumni Mr. Jayrald Abaril, a Talk on TVL Track by Ma’am Mary Joy Torres (TLE Department Head), and School Promotions from partner institutions including Westbridge, ICCT, Dreamy School Philippines, Holy Face, FEU Roosevelt, Light of Hope Christian Academy, AICS, and CASAP.

The event was made possible through the support of our principal Dr. Caren Catuiran, with acknowledgements from Mr. Crisostomo D. Ruben and closing remarks by Mr. Jerry A. Liberato Jr. Truly, the Career Guidance Fair was a success in inspiring every 8Csian to dream, decide, and prepare for a brighter future! 🌟

Big salute to Rechelle Anne O. Taotao (10-Malvar) for earning the highest Girl Scout award in the Philippines — the Chief Girl Scout Medal! 🎖️

Her project on Proper Waste Segregation in Southville 8C (Blk 3 & 6) shows true leadership, discipline, and care for the community.

In line with DepEd Memorandum No. OUOPS-2025-11-065331, our dedicated faculty and staff united by wearing blue—a powerful symbol of peace, protection, and unity for every child.

This year's theme, "OSAEC-CSAEM Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bawat Batang Mag-aaral, Ipaglaban!", powerfully reminds us of our shared, crucial duty to end all forms of neglect and violence against children.

Wearing blue isn't just about dressing up it's a powerful statement that 8CIANS stand together to create safe, nurturing spaces for all our learners.
