The Eastbridge School

The Eastbridge School A progressive school with a curriculum based on the Multiple Intelligences (MI) theory of H. Gardner Teacher Jane, the Directress earned her B.A. and her M.A.

The Eastbridge School is owned and managed by a couple team, both graduates of U.P. Broad Comm & Comparative Literature from U.P. in English Language Teaching from Ateneo. She has taught in prestigious schools like Miriam College, University of Asia and the Pacific and Ateneo De Manila University. Teacher Gerry is the President of the school and has a B.S. Natural Sciences (Math, Statistics, Econ

omics) degree from U.P. He used to teach Math subjects at Children's House on Montessori Lane (currently Montessori de San Juan) before shifting to a career in Information Technology. He has earned counseling units from Asian Theological Seminary and is serving as the pastor of Rosehill Christian Church in Montalban, Rizal. Eastbridge is non-sectarian yet it is teaching a bible-based values formation program and conducts a monthly chapel hour for all students regardless of their religious affiliation. Students are exposed to Christian songs and are enrolled in AWANA, an international children's club designed to introduce children to God at an early age. Eastbridge believes in the intelligence of every child. Thus, we adopted the Multiple Intelligence Theory as the basis for our curriculum. In 2012, Eastbridge also implemented the use of Singapore Math in all levels, in spite of the expense involved in the training of teachers and high cost of the textbooks which are imported from Singapore. Our English program is also strong in that we are using Ateneo English textbooks for all levels and our teachers are constantly being trained in the use of these textbooks, aside from the mentoring that Teacher Jane is giving them on a regular basis based on her more than 35 years of English teaching experience. Our class sizes are small (maximum of 20 for preschool) and maximum of 25 for elementary. This ensures that every student is given enough attention and opportunity to grow intellectually, morally and emotionally.

A throwback to a beautiful day—and a reminder of why we keep going.

Watching this graduation clip today feels different. We can’t help but be emotional when we think about the realities education continues to face—school shootings, stabbings, threats to safety, unexpected class cancellations, disruptions brought by weather and circumstances, and the many challenges that sometimes make the work feel heavier than it should.

And yet, we continue.

Because behind every challenge is a child who still needs to learn, a teacher who still chooses to show up, and a school community that refuses to give up on the work of shaping lives.

This graduation was more than a celebration of finishing a school year. It was a reminder that despite everything, we made it through.

And perhaps that is what education asks of us again and again: to keep showing up, keep caring, keep teaching, keep believing.

The world may not always make it easy.

But for as long as there are young people dreaming of a future, we will keep going.

Blended learning is more than having an online class—it’s about having the right platform, the right tools, and the right mindset to keep learning going when circumstances make it difficult to be physically in school.

At Eastbridge, our online classes help students stay connected, engaged, and learning with purpose—even when 'habagat', weather disturbances, or other disruptions affect regular classes. Because quality education means having the flexibility to adapt without losing the connection to learning.
