The continuation of 𝐁𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 was successfully conducted last 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐳 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 - 𝐁𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠.

The workshop provided hands on experience and allows the participants to learn how to mix the soil media and property propagating the bamboo.

This extension activity of the University of Rizal System Rodriguez Campus successfully ended in the same day.

𝗣𝗥𝗖 𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗢𝗔, 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀

In accordance with Republic Act No. 12215, or the Philippine Agriculturists Act, the Professional Regulatory Board of Agriculture under the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) visited the University of Rizal System Rodriguez to evaluate the College of Agriculture and ensure that qualifications, standards, and compliance are being met by the college and its stakeholders on Thursday, March 5.

Hon. Eric P. Palacpac and Hon. Maria Eden S. Piadozo, PRC Board of Agriculture, conducted interviews with the dean and faculty members to assess whether each of them is qualified and has passed the licensing requirements to teach in the said field of specialization.

Guided by the Prof. Ma. Victoria Alarte, Acting Campus Officer-in-Charge and Dean of the College of Social Work and Community Development (CSWCD), and Dr. Jericho Inarda, Dean of the College of Agriculture (COA), various related documents were also presented and examined, including the existing syllabi used by the college to make sure that it contains all the required courses and reflects curriculum alignment with the board exam requirements.

In addition, facilities, resources, equipment, and tools needed for agricultural practices were checked to assure that the environment is conducive to the implementation and practice of agriculture.

Meanwhile, Dr. Arnel R. Gagalac of PRC Region IV-A, assisted by Mr. Michael A. Castillo, discussed the findings based on interviews, presented documents, and visited laboratories, facilities, and equipment through a strategic and collaborative discussion where identified deficiencies and non-compliances were given corrective or preventive actions.

The evaluation aims to ensure the adherence to the standards set by the said law and betterment of the program, and to uplift the agricultural profession and its practices in the country.
