My Philosophy of Education was formed over the many years of experience I have had as a student, a teacher of young children, an instructor to adult learners, a curriculum developer, and a school administrator. We had fun at our Christmas Party! We played games such as pin Rudolph's red nose, hanging stockings, and building words from Merry Christmas letters. We sang Sweet Little Jesus sleep and Ha Ha Ha song. We also danced jingle bells. Our activity ended with cookie decorating. The children enjoyed icing their cookies. It's a good way to end the 2021 school year. We are now looking forward to a brighter 2022. Merry Christmas everyone and may you all have a blessed new year!

Late post: From our United Nations Day Celebration. We had a family gathering last October 23, Saturday. Each family was assigned to a continent to share about. They chose the country in that continent to represent. I am always amazed how these children's family are so involved in their learning. They researched about the culture such as the language, clothing, food, sport, etc. Extra effort were made to give a wonderful presentation for these information which were easy for the children to understand. We had group and individual games that we enjoyed playing and cheering for each other. When school and families are united a lot can be accomplished for the benefit of our children. I gues this goes the same for all nations, if we all work together then our world will be so much better to live in.

The month of August is the buwan ng wika. We learned about our country, our language, and culture. The use of po and opo, and pagmamano. We enjoyed dancing Itik-itik and singing tagalog songs like the Bahay Kubo, Ako ay masaya, and Kumusta. We also listened to the following stories: Ang Batang Ayaw Maligo and Ang Batang Tamad. We played luksong tinik, tumbang preso, pinoy henyo, and said a tagalog tongue twister. We ended this event with a celebration. The children wore their Filipino costume and prepared their favorite FiIipino food for Show and Tell. We then played all the games we learned with the whole family. We also had cookery. We all learned how to make turon. Lastly, we had a salu-salo. We thank the families for making this event a success. Till next time!
