REINA MERCEDES, ISABELA โ€“ June 18, 2026 โ€“ Reina Mercedes National High School (RMNHS) actively participated in the Second Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 18, demonstrating its commitment to promoting disaster preparedness and ensuring the safety of learners, teachers, and school personnel.

The activity commenced with the sounding of the alarm signal, prompting participants to perform the standard โ€œDuck, Cover, and Holdโ€ procedure. This was followed by an orderly evacuation to the designated safe areas within the school premises, guided by the schoolโ€™s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Team.

The drill aimed to enhance the school communityโ€™s awareness of earthquake safety protocols, assess emergency response procedures, and reinforce the importance of preparedness in minimizing risks during actual disaster situations.

Through its active participation in the nationwide activity, RMNHS continues to foster a culture of safety, resilience, and readiness among its stakeholders, underscoring the importance of collective action in safeguarding lives during emergencies.

Today, RMNHS family proudly honors and bids farewell to two remarkable public servantsโ€”Sir Julius Rey C. Agno and Sir Fernando L. Mangisil.

For years, you have carried not only the responsibilities of your profession but also the hopes of learners, the trust of parents, and the mission of the Department of Education. Through challenges, changes, victories, and sacrifices, you stood as pillars of commitment, integrity, and service.

As you move forward to the next chapter of your journey, we do not say goodbye with sadness alone. We do so with prideโ€”pride in the lives you have transformed, the excellence you have embodied, and the legacy you leave behind.

The DepEd family is stronger because you became part of it. RMNHS is better because you chose to serve here. And countless learners are better because they encountered educators like you.

Some departures create silence; yours leaves an echo of inspiration that will continue to resonate in every classroom, every learner's success, and every educator you have influenced.

Thank you for your unwavering service. Thank you for being more than educatorsโ€”thank you for being leaders, mentors, and living examples of what it means to serve with HEART.

Once an asset of RMNHS, forever a part of its story.

Maraming salamat, Sir Julius Rey C. Agno and Sir Fernando L. Mangisil. โœจ๏ธ๐Ÿซก Padayon!

A Chapter Ends, A Dream Begins

What began as a summer learning intervention concluded with pride and inspiration as Reina Mercedes National High School successfully held its ARAL Summer Program 2026 Culminating and Recognition Program, honoring learners who demonstrated dedication, perseverance, and growth throughout the program.

The culmination highlighted the learnersโ€™ commitment to improving their reading skills and embracing continuous learning despite spending their vacation engaged in academic activities. Their progress reflected not only effort but also determination and a strong desire to succeed.

Delivering an inspiring message, Principal II Doreen T. Laciste said, "Hindi niyo kailangan maging matalino. Maging masipag lang sa pagbabasa at magtiyaga. Mag-aral nang mabuti. Makakamit niyo ang pangarap niyo."

Her message emphasized that success is not defined by intelligence alone, but by hard work, perseverance, and discipline in learning.

As certificates were awarded and achievements were recognized, the event became a celebration of resilience, growth, and achievement among learners.

The ARAL Summer Program may have reached its conclusion, but the lessons learned and dreams nurtured throughout the journey will continue to inspire learners to strive for a brighter future.

Indeed, a chapter has endedโ€”but a dream has just begun.
