"Take Courage! I have overcome the world." β€” John 16:33

Today, we gathered as one Salettinian family to celebrate the Holy Eucharist, offering our prayers, gratitude, and hearts to God. As we continue our journey of faith, may Christ's words remind us to remain steadfast, hopeful, and courageous despite life's challenges.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of La Salette, continue to guide us closer to her Son and inspire us to become faithful witnesses of God's love.

July 03, 2026

With grateful hearts, we celebrated the Feast Day of Saint Thomas the Apostle, gathering as one community in the Holy Eucharist to honor his unwavering journey from doubt to profound faith.

Inspired by this year's theme, "Take Courage! I Have Overcome the World." (John 16:33), may we, like St. Thomas, continue to seek Christ with sincere hearts, trust in His promises, and courageously proclaim our faith despite life's uncertainties.

May the celebration strengthen our commitment to live as faithful witnesses of Christ and remind us that true peace is found in Him who has overcome the world.

"My Lord and my God!" β€” John 20:28

From
Fr Manuel R. Medina, MS

On this 13th sunday of Ordinary time - I will focus my reflection on the 1st reading from 2 Kings 4:8-11,14-16a. We see the shunammite woman recognizing the prophet Elisha regularly travelling thru her locality - and she recognizes him as
a "Holy Man of God"and what is touching is that this woman invited Elisha for a meal and made available her home whenever Elisha would be in the area - he was not only provided food - he was also provided a place to stay . One learns from this shunammite woman of the importance of recognizing "goodness / holiness " in a person and to accept - welcome such persons in our lives. It is sad that in our world of today we do not "make" room for God or holiness / goodness - instead our time is spend in accumulation , having more money , more possessions .From the 1st reading we learn through the action of the woman that growth in the spirit begins when our heart is open to God.The woman thru her action she not only made room in her home for the prophet Elisha - in her action - she also opened her heart- her life to God and her faith deepened - and such action is never forgotten by God . Every action done and accomplished in love is blessed by God - for God never forgets one's act of faithfulness and generosity - this woman had a deep desire to have a child and God blessed her with a son . Our God always provides blessings everytime we open our hearts and lives to him and for others in service. God blessings are gifts of grace and not payments for the good we do for others .Let us always make "room" for God in our lives - let us trust God's timing even when God's response or answers does not come in the way or time we expect. Today and in the days to come let us put aside our pride and self reliance - thinking we can manage our life without God. Let us make prayer a daily habit -this week attend mass of July 2 ( Feast of Our Lady of the Visitation of Guibang / Piat and begin your 1st friday mass devotion on July 3. This week let us offer a prayer for our pupils/ students, teachers in our La Salette schools. Let us also say a Hail Mary for the intentions of the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette - Ina ng Pag Asa Province . Life can be tough but let us not be overwhelmed - just believe, trust , surrender in God's promise and be happy in the love without end that God has for you. Faith, hope , love and blessings to you all!

***** I invite you and many others on July 16 ( thursday - feast of Our Lady of Mt Carmel - for an hour and a half - 4.30 - 6pm of spiritual reflection and prayer - I will provide the link ) ****
