The 1st Term General PTA Assembly and Card Giving Day was successfully conducted today at the QCS Covered Court, bringing together parents, teachers, and school officials in a meaningful gathering aimed at strengthening school-home partnerships and promoting the welfare of the learners.

The assembly commenced with a warm welcome to all attendees, followed by the discussion of significant matters concerning the school community. One part of the program was the presentation of PROJECT RESPETO by the PTA President. The proposed project emphasized the importance of promoting respect, discipline, and positive values among students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to help foster a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment.

Another important agenda tackled during the assembly was the Presentation of School's Accomplishments, wherein parents were informed of the projects, programs, and initiatives successfully undertaken by the school and learners achievement during district programs. This report showcased the collective efforts of the PTA in supporting school improvement programs and enhancing educational opportunities for all learners.

The school also presented its Anti-Bullying Policy, reiterating its commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for every student. Parents were oriented on the provisions of the policy, the procedures for reporting incidents, and the roles of both the school and the family in preventing bullying and promoting positive behavior among learners.

In addition, various school-related concerns and updates were discussed, providing parents with valuable information and an avenue to raise questions and share suggestions that could contribute to the continuous improvement of school programs and services.

Following the General PTA Assembly, parents proceeded to their respective homeroom meetings for the Card Giving Day. During this session, class advisers distributed the learners' report cards and discussed each student's academic performance, strengths, areas for improvement, and overall progress for the first term. Parents were also encouraged to actively support their children's learning at home.

The homeroom meetings likewise served as a venue to discuss concerns and plans related to the improvement of classrooms, encouraging collaboration among parents and teachers in creating a more comfortable and learner-friendly environment.

𝕊𝕔𝕙𝕠𝕠𝕝 𝕀𝕟-𝕊𝕖𝕣𝕧𝕚𝕔𝕖 𝕋𝕣𝕒𝕚𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕠𝕟 𝔹𝕒𝕤𝕚𝕔 𝕃𝕚𝕗𝕖 𝕊𝕦𝕡𝕡𝕠𝕣𝕥 (𝔹𝕃𝕊)

Quirino Central School successfully conducted a two-day School In-Service Training on Basic Life Support (BLS) on September 10-11, 2026. The activity was participated in by the school faculty and staff, together with the officers of the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) and the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O). The training aimed to equip participants with essential life-saving knowledge and skills that can be applied during emergencies and accidents both in school and in the community.

The training was facilitated by distinguished representatives from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), namely FO2 Arvee Octaviano and FO1 Leonardo Purugganan. Through their expertise and engaging presentations, they provided valuable lectures on the proper administration of first aid for different types of injuries and emergency situations. Participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of timely and appropriate responses during accidents and medical emergencies.

One of the highlights of the training was the hands-on demonstration and workshop on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), bandaging, and splinting techniques. The resource speakers carefully demonstrated the correct procedures and guided participants through practical exercises to ensure that everyone gained confidence and competence in performing these life-saving skills. Faculty members, staff, and student officers actively participated in the activities, enthusiastically practicing the techniques and collaborating with one another throughout the sessions.

The interactive nature of the workshop made the learning experience both educational and enjoyable. Participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to acquire practical skills that could help save lives and reduce the severity of injuries during emergencies. The training also reinforced the importance of preparedness, teamwork, and quick decision-making in responding to unforeseen incidents.

Querino Central School (QCS) successfully participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on September 10, 2026, demonstrating its commitment to promoting disaster preparedness and ensuring the safety of both learners and personnel in times of emergencies.

The activity was actively participated in by the QCS Faculty and Staff, who carried out the prescribed earthquake response procedures, particularly the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" technique, followed by an orderly evacuation and accountability check.

In support of this important undertaking, representatives from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), namely FO2 Arvee Octaviano and FO1 Leonardo Purugganan, joined the activity and provided guidance and valuable insights on emergency preparedness, safety protocols, and proper evacuation procedures.

Despite being in their respective homes, QCS learners also participated in the NSED, carrying out the earthquake drill under the guidance of their parents or guardians. Through this initiative, learners were able to practice essential safety measures and develop awareness of the appropriate actions to take during an earthquake, even outside the school environment.

NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS SCHOOL SAFETY DRILL ON ACTIVE ATTACK

Quirino Central School successfully participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack on September 3, 2026, as part of the government's continuing efforts to strengthen disaster preparedness, crisis management, and the safety and security awareness of learners, teaching personnel, and non-teaching staff.

The activity was conducted with the active participation of the school community and was closely monitored and evaluated by representatives from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). Their presence ensured that established safety protocols and response procedures during an active attack scenario were properly observed and implemented.

During the drill, learners, teachers, and school personnel demonstrated the appropriate actions and emergency response measures designed to protect lives and minimize risks in the event of an active attack incident. The simulation highlighted the importance of vigilance, discipline, coordination, and adherence to safety procedures within the school environment.

Following the completion of the drill, a Post-Evaluation Conference was conducted with the participating evaluators from BFP, PNP, MDRRMO, and DILG. During the discussion, the evaluators shared their observations regarding the implementation of the drill, identified strengths demonstrated by the school community, and provided valuable recommendations for further improvement.

The evaluators commended the cooperation and responsiveness of the participants and emphasized the importance of continuous practice and preparedness to ensure the effectiveness of emergency response mechanisms. They also provided constructive feedback on areas that may be enhanced to further improve the school's readiness and capacity to respond to security-related emergencies.

Through the collective efforts of the school, local government agencies, and emergency responders, the activity served as an important opportunity to strengthen coordination, improve response capabilities, and safeguard the welfare of all members of the school community.

Pre-Coordination Meeting on the Conduct of the Nationwide Simultaneous Safety Drill on Active Attack

A Pre-Coordination Meeting for the Conduct of the Nationwide Simultaneous Safety Drill on Active Attack was successfully held today, from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM, at Quirino Central School (QCS). The activity gathered key stakeholders and partner agencies to discuss preparations and collaborative efforts in ensuring the safety and security of learners, teaching personnel, and non-teaching staff during emergency situations.

Present during the meeting were personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) headed by Acting Chief of Police PMAJ. TITO B LAWANA JR., personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) headed by Acting Municipal Fire Marshal SFO3 ANTONIO Y QUILLOPO JR., the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (MDRRMO) Ma'am YVONN A. CASTRO, as well as the faculty and staff of Quirino Central School.

One of the highlights of the meeting was the presentation of the School Contingency Plan on Active Attack. The plan was presented for evaluation, recommendations, and enhancement by the participating agencies to ensure that established protocols are responsive, practical, and aligned with existing safety and security standards. The stakeholders provided valuable insights and recommendations aimed at strengthening the school's preparedness and response mechanisms.

Another significant agenda was the planning and coordination of the Active Attack Simulation Drill. Discussions focused on the roles and responsibilities of each participating agency, the flow of activities, communication protocols, and response procedures during the simulation. The collaborative planning emphasized the importance of preparedness and inter-agency cooperation in effectively responding to potential threats and emergencies within the school environment.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment among all stakeholders to work together in promoting a safe, secure, and resilient learning environment. Through proactive planning, continuous coordination, and regular safety drills, Quirino Central School aims to strengthen its readiness and capacity to respond to possible threats in the future, ensuring the protection and well-being of the entire school community.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT TRAINING

To promote health awareness, safety, and emergency preparedness among learners, a Basic Life Support (BLS) Training was successfully conducted by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) for the pupils of Quirino Central School. The activity aimed to provide participants with essential knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively to emergency situations and potentially life-threatening incidents while awaiting professional medical assistance.

The training session covered the fundamental concepts of Basic Life Support, including the identification of emergency situations, the importance of early intervention, and the proper procedures to follow during medical emergencies. Facilitators also discussed basic first aid principles, choking management, injury prevention, and an overview of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Through demonstrations and interactive discussions, the pupils were given the opportunity to learn and understand how prompt and appropriate actions can help save lives.

The participants actively engaged in the various activities and showed enthusiasm throughout the training. They listened attentively to the facilitators, participated in question-and-answer sessions, and willingly joined hands-on demonstrations.
