The entire community of Quirino State University Cabarroguis Campus, mourns the profound loss of a visionary leader, public servant, and true champion of the people, our beloved Provincial Governor Dakila Carlo "Dax" E. Cua. Throughout his life in public service, Governor Dax embodied a rare brand of compassionate leadership, always placing the welfare of Quirino's people - the Kailyans at the forefront of every endeavor.
Governor Dax has made a remarkable impact, especially on the entire university, as he is one of the key authors of the legislative framework that brought Quirino State University into existence. He paved the way for accessible, quality higher education right at our doorstep. He firmly believed in the potential of the youth, consistently channeling his attention into programs and opportunities that empowered students to excel, viewing every young Kailyans as a vital catalyst for global progress.
Beyond the governance milestones and halls of legislation, it was his warmth and genuine humility that endeared him to everyone he met. Whenever he stepped up to the podium facing the kailyans, his trademark, cheerful opening og "Hi. Hello" instantly bridged any distance and made everyone feel seen, welcomed, and valued.
As we bid farewell to a remarkable pillar of our community, the QSU Cabarroguis Campus extends its deepest condolences to his family and carried forward his enduring vision with profound gratitude and eternal respect.

The 2026 PAEPI International Extension Conference served as a global stage for the Quirino State University - Cabarroguis Campus to showcase five meaningful extension outputs designed for direct community application. Held from April 14 to 17, 2026, at the Tag Resort in Coron, Palawan, the QSU Cabarroguis Campus delegation presented a suite of practical interventions that move beyond the classroom to solve real-world problems. These outputs—ranging from digital toolkits for farmers to journalism workshops—highlight QSU's commitment to delivering tangible services that improve livelihoods, literacy, and local governance.

The technical core of the presentation focused on modernizing local industry and boosting community resilience. Project CANAL D.I.G.I.T.A.L., presented by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗶𝗲𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗕. 𝗕𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮 (BSCS Department Representative), offered a new blueprint for irrigators to adopt technology-driven leadership and accountability. Meanwhile, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮 𝗗. 𝗔𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘀 (BSEntrep Department, AEDS & GAD Representative) showcased Project BANANA, a specialized extension output that turns banana-based initiatives into viable agro-entrepreneurial ventures to combat malnutrition. To bridge the gap in technical skills, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗟. 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗮 (BSMath Department Representative) introduced MATHIC, a practical framework for mathematical advancement tailored to help communities innovate and solve everyday problems through logic and calculation.

Complementing these technical tools were extension outputs focused on communication and social foundations. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗠. 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 (BAELS Department Representative) presented “The Unbreakable Pen,” a journalism mastery program under the Venturing of Information project that equips community members with the skills for effective storytelling and advocacy. Finally, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘂 𝗢. 𝗖𝘂𝘆𝗼𝘀 (BSMath Department Representative) presented a critical Baseline Study for Proposed Extension Programs, an output that serves as a diagnostic tool to ensure all future BSMath services are perfectly aligned with the community's social needs.

Through these presentations, QSU Cabarroguis demonstrated its commitment to moving beyond the classroom, truly empowering local citizens with the skills and confidence to lead their own sustainable growth.
