ALS LEARNERS ACQUIRE KNOWLEDGE ON METAL ARC WELDING TRAINING & WORKSHOP AT REYNON'S WELDING SHOP
In cooperation with sir Romeo Reynon, a skilled welder and owner of a welding shop in Quirino, Ilocos Sur conducted a one-day training workshop on Metal Arc Welding, March 28, 2025.
The very accommodating resource trainer presented the importance of Personal Protective Equipments (PPE), the safety measure and comfortability to be observed, the different tools to be used, and the types of materials to be assembled.
Furthermore, the trainer demonstrated the proper insertion of the positive and negative polarity of the welding machine, the exact balance of ampere with welding electrodes, the different styles of cutting and grinding, the proper measurements of materials, and the different techniques of metal arc welding.
As an assessment of the knowledge acquired, QCS staff headed by Dr. Charlotte Patil-ao allowed us to use the metal scraps from their school to use as materials to be welled as flower pots stand.
"I am very thankful for these skills acquired because we can surely use these in our future endeavour", said ALS learner Hesron Laoagan.
