SATURDAY, AUGUST 8, 2026- Despite the rainy weather, our young leaders from Guinhawa Elementary School showed their commitment to learning and leadership as they participated in the Youth Training on Pupils’ Welfare, Safeguarding, and Rights Policy.

Our YES-O Officers, SELG, YECS, BKD, and RCYC proudly took part in this meaningful training, accompanied by Sir Ryan Olino and Ma’am Monica Recto, with the guidance and support of our School Head,
Ma’am Jocelyn Villaverde.

The rain may have made the day wet, but it certainly did not dampen the enthusiasm of our learners! They actively participated, listened, shared ideas, and gained valuable knowledge about pupil welfare, safety, safeguarding, and the rights of every learner.

It was indeed a great and meaningful day for our young leaders. More than the rain, they went home with new knowledge, wonderful experiences, and lessons that will help them become responsible, caring, and empowered leaders.

Most importantly, everyone went home safe and full of learning.

Kudos to our young leaders for braving the rainy day and making the training truly worthwhile! Keep learning, keep leading, and keep making a difference!

GUINHAWA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CELEBRATES NUTRITION MONTH 2026 WITH A WEEK OF HEALTHY AND FUN-FILLED ACTIVITIES

Guinhawa, Quezon, Quezon – In support of the annual Nutrition Month Celebration, Guinhawa Elementary School successfully conducted its week-long celebration from July 27–31, 2026 with the theme, “Sa PPAN: Sama-Sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat! Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!”

The celebration officially opened with a lively Kick-off Program featuring an opening prayer, singing of the National Anthem, presentation of the Nutrition Month theme, Nutrition Pledge, an energetic Zumba session, and the distribution of healthy snacks. The activity encouraged learners to adopt healthy eating habits and an active lifestyle.

On the second day, learners showcased their creativity through the Poster Making Contest for Grades 4–6 and the Coloring Activity for Kindergarten to Grade 3. Their artworks reflected the importance of proper nutrition, healthy living, and environmental care.

The third day highlighted the Nutri-Baon Challenge, where learners proudly presented nutritious snacks and packed meals prepared with the support of their parents. The activity promoted wise food choices and emphasized the value of eating balanced and healthy meals.

Knowledge and teamwork took center stage during the Nutrition Quiz Bee on the fourth day. Representatives from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 demonstrated their understanding of nutrition, food safety, and healthy lifestyle practices through friendly competition.

The celebration concluded with a Healthy Cooking Contest participated in by grade-level representatives who prepared simple, affordable, and nutritious dishes using locally available ingredients. The event ended with an Awarding Ceremony, recognizing the outstanding performances of learners and participants through certificates and prizes.

The awarding ceremony highlighted the Nutri-Basket Fashion Show to showcase the learners' knowledge on nutritious food that needed our body.

The week-long celebration successfully increased learners' awareness of proper nutrition, encouraged active participation in health-promoting activities, and strengthened their appreciation of nutritious foods and healthy living. The event also highlighted the importance of family, school, and community collaboration in promoting lifelong healthy habits.

Guinhawa Elementary School extends its heartfelt appreciation to the School Head, teachers, PTA Officers, YES-O Officers, committee members, parents, judges, and all learners whose support and active participation made the Nutrition Month 2026 celebration a meaningful and memorable success.
