With focus, strategy, and determination, SciDama player Mark James B. Soriano secured 3rd place among nine participants in the Electro-SciDama event at the LD5 Science and Technology Fair 2026.

More than just a place on the podium, Soriano’s achievement reflects the hard work and passion he poured into the competition. As one of the young minds representing his school, he proved that age is never a limit when it comes to learning, competing, and believing in what you can do.

Behind his achievement is the guidance of his coach, Gina B. Pancho, whose support helped Soriano prepare for the challenge.

With this milestone, Soriano continues to show that every move, every lesson, and every effort can lead to something worth celebrating.

𝐁𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

August 7, 2026 | Barucboc National High School secured four awards during the Quezon District Science and Technology Fair 2026, held at San Juan Integrated School. The competition brought together learners representing the public secondary schools of Quezon District.

Leading the BNHS delegation was Grade 7 learner Mark James Soriano, who emerged as champion in Electro Sci-Dama under the guidance of his coach, Gina B. Pancho. His victory qualified him for the upcoming Legislative District Science and Technology Fair.
Grade 8 learner Donna Mae S. Lumanog, coached by Graze S. Natividad, secured first runner-up in Sci-Notation. Grade 9 representative Janlord Daludado, coached by Janice P. Pastor, also finished as first runner-up in T.H.I. Sci-Dama.

Completing the school’s successful campaign was Grade 10 learner Ralph Gaffud, who earned second runner-up in Sci-Dama under the mentorship of Nela A. Carag.

Despite their limited preparation and practice time, the BNHS contestants demonstrated impressive scientific knowledge, strategic thinking, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

The BNHS community congratulates all the learners and coaches for bringing pride and honor to the school. Best wishes to Mark James Soriano and Gina B. Pancho as they advance to the Legislative District Science and Technology Fair!

August 6, 2026 | Heads up, Quezonians! Dahil sa banta ng Tropical Storm , suspendido ang klase ngayong Agosto 6, 2026, sa LAHAT ng antas sa pampubliko at pampribadong paaralan sa buong Bayan ng Quezon. Prayoridad natin ang kaligtasan ng bawat mag-aaral, g**o, at kawani ng paaralan habang patuloy na nararanasan ang masamang panahon.

📚 Para tuloy pa rin ang pagkatuto, hinihikayat ang lahat ng paaralan na magpatupad ng Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) o iba pang angkop na learning modality, kung maaari.

🌧️ Hindi lang suspendido ang klase, stay weather-ready rin! Iwasang lumusong sa baha, umiwas sa mga lugar na may panganib ng landslide o pagbagsak ng puno, at ugaliing subaybayan ang mga opisyal na abiso mula sa PAGASA, MDRRMC, at LGU Quezon.

Stay safe, Quezon! Ang lessons puwedeng habulin, pero ang kaligtasan ay laging una. 💙

WALANG PASOK

Ang Barucboc National High School ay buong pusong nakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa 2026, na may temang:

“Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon.”

Sa panahon ng mabilis na pag-unlad ng teknolohiya at Artificial Intelligence, patuloy nating gamitin, pagyamanin, at ipagmalaki ang Wikang Filipino bilang daluyan ng kaalaman, pananaliksik, at makabuluhang komunikasyon.

Bilang pagpupugay kay Manuel L. Quezon, Ama ng Wikang Pambansa, sama-sama nating itaguyod ang wikang sumasalamin sa ating kasaysayan, kultura, at pagkakakilanlang Pilipino.

Mabuhay ang Wikang Filipino! Mabuhay ang sambayanang Pilipino! 🇵🇭
