Peterson Strobe tuner for bridge adjustments on electric
guitars and basses. 1,500 pesos (you need to buy your

time consuming and expensive. I do however have all the

really a last resort there are many things I often can do to

A syllabus for 10 beginner guitar lessons.
Week one-Basic guitar, parts of the guitar, tuning, G cord. Fret-board dexterity exercises. I am a trained luthier and I offer a free guitar setup for all first time students. If the strings are to far off the neck it is hard for students to make the cords. I have set up hundreds of guitars. I will also give you a handout with all the cords written out of position. I will talk about how out of position guitar learning works, it is the most widely used and easiest method.

Week two- review of lesson one. I now add the C cord and D cord so you understand what a progression is. Progressions are what songs are made of. If you know the progressions you will be able to play songs.

Week three-playing the G progression, talking about the notes in the key of G. I now will add the D progression and the key of D because it has two of the cords that were in a G progression. I will talk about the notes in D and start to show you scales so you can see where cords come from. Review

Week four-playing the C progression there is only one new cord for you here which is F. I will talk about the notes in the key of C as well as the scale in C. We always review the previous lesson because knowledge is like a flight of stairs you climb one by one.

Week five-we will now add the A progression, there is only one new cord here the E cord. I will talk about the scale and the notes in the key of A. As always review also
Week five-the E progression, there is only one new cord here the B cord, We will talk about the E scale and the notes in E. Many songs on the guitar are in E, E is one of the favorite keys on the guitar, especially for blues and rock.

Week six-we will talk about major and minor cords this is very important to be able to learn songs. We will learn a simple song with two minor cords. An old folk song House of The Rising Sun
I will start to show you bar cords which are basic to the guitar, you can play all over the neck with bar cords. Review as always.

Week seven 7th cords this is another cord variation and works for your open cords (not barred) and your bar cords. Especially useful if you want to play the blues. Review

Week eight we will learn a blues song which will take you back to your progressions. We will learn a blues song in A-Red House by Jimi Hendrix. I am going to introduce you to a little lead guitar playing here. Review

Week nine-we will look at how bass, rhythm guitar and lead guitar fit together. I also teach bass and own bass guitars. We play some progressions and see how the parts fit together. Review

Week ten-We will talk about the circle of fifths and how all the keys are related to each other. We will also review and you can ask me questions and see if you want to continue to intermediate level.

I owned a music store for several years in America. I not only sold guitars and amps but I also did repairs. I have a lot of specialized tools to repair guitars. I played professionally in bands and stage productions for theater. -
