In celebration of Bigkis and the Centennial Year of Miriam College, the Human Resources Division, in partnership with the MC100 Committee and the Marketing and Communications Office, invites all students, alumni, and employees to join the Miriam College Film Festival (MCFF) 2026. 💙💛

This year’s theme, “Mga Kuwento ng Isang Daan,” challenges filmmakers to tell stories revolving around the number 100 in honor of a century of growth, legacy, and shared journeys. 🎞️

Selected entries will be showcased during “Salubong” on September 11, 2026 through a collective drive-in experience and global livestream. 🌍🚗

📅 Submission of Entries:
July 1 to 31, 2026

📍 Mechanics:
• 10 to 15 minutes total running time, including credits
• Films must center on the theme “Mga Kuwento ng Isang Daan”
• Entries must be original works, including sound design, created specifically for the competition
• All films should have subtitles
• Production teams must submit their own trailer and poster by August 3, 2026
• Films should be shot in 1080p or 4K resolution using a DSLR camera

ALUMNI IN THE SPOTLIGHT | Dr. Ceres Paulino-Canto, MD, FPPS, FPSPC, FPSE is a Pediatric Cardiologist and Miriam College High School alumna of Class 1998. Through her work, she advocates for pediatric cardiology, patient-centered care, and holistic support for both children and their families.

Dr. Canto pursued a career as a cardiologist with a subspecialty in Pediatric Echocardiography and has been in practice for almost four years. For her, pediatric cardiology has always been the driving force behind her motivations, especially now, as the current Section Head of Pediatric Cardiac Rehabilitation at the Philippine Heart Center, where she focuses on patient-centered care, treating children with congenital and acquired heart diseases. Beyond addressing their physical health, Dr. Canto also supports parents emotionally through group support sessions.

The Miriam College community proudly recognizes Miriam College High School Kristen Venice H. Lim of Grade 9-Fitton for her remarkable accomplishments at the 2026 Get the Beat Dance Competition, held on April 11–12, 2026, at the Maybank Performing Arts Theater in Manila.

Competing in both solo and group categories, Kristen delivered outstanding performances and garnered the following awards:

The Commission on Higher Education(CHED) has formally conferred Miriam College the Certificate of Authority for the institution’s recently commission-approved Transnational Higher Education (TNHE) program. The awarding ceremony took place at the Strategic Partnership Convergence held last June 10, 2026 at the PICC in celebration of the 32nd Founding Anniversary of CHED.

Representing Miriam College in this event were Dr. Francis Julius Evangelista (Dean of the School of Arts, Sciences and Education) and Ms. Angelina Alcazar (International Student Experience Program Coordinator) who received the certificate from CHED Chair Dr. Shirley Agrupis.

Under its TNHE program, Miriam College will offer the following degree programs in partnership with Camosun College in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada starting SY 2026-2027:

●︎ Bachelor of Early Childhood Education + Postgraduate Degree Diploma in Adventure Education
●︎ Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration with specialization in Marketing
●︎ Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration with specialization in Human Resource Management and Leadership
●︎Bachelor of Science + Postgraduate Degree Diploma in International Tourism Management and Adventure Leadership
