𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆

𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 is celebrated every 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟵 to commemorate the birth anniversary of 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗟. 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗼𝗻, the second President of the Philippine Commonwealth and the namesake of Quezon City. Under 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗼. 𝟲𝟳𝟰𝟭, August 19 is declared a 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 in Quezon City, Quezon Province, and Aurora.

The occasion honors President Quezon’s contributions to the nation, including his role in advancing 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲, promoting social justice, and strengthening Philippine self-governance during the Commonwealth era.

As Quezon City commemorates its namesake, 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆 also serves as an opportunity to remember the legacy of a leader whose contributions helped shape the Philippines.

Founded on 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟒, the 𝐌𝐚𝐠-𝐚𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐝 𝐬𝐚 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐝𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐚 (𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐀) is the student arts organization of PUP Quezon City, dedicated to promoting Philippine arts and culture and nurturing the artistic talents of PUPQC students.

Through these four branches, MUSA continues to provide students with a space to 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺, 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗿𝘁.
