UP Interior Design Class of 2017

Last April 19 to 28, UP Interior Design Batch of 2017 held the final exhibit for Tawid: Design Beyond Borders at the Bulwagan ng Dangal, UP Diliman, for the benefit of Tulay ng Kabataan.

WATCH: Interior design for the poor? UP students make it happen This furniture project of students from the UP College of Home Economics aims to expose the interior design community to the needs of marginalized sectors

Meet-up and delivery of items will be through meet-up or shipping through Xend. For delivery through Xend, shipping fee will be Php 70 for Metro Manila, and 120 for outside Metro Manila, and the payments will be accepted through BPI deposit.

This fundraising project by the graduating batch of BS Interior Design of the University of the Philippines in an effort to raise funds for TAWID: Design Beyond Borders. It is a design and construction project of a product line of multi-use furniture and interactive accessories designed for the benefit of Tulay ng Kabataan, a foundation devoted to the service and care for the neglected and abandoned street children of Metro Manila.

Tawid: Design Beyond Borders is a construction project that aspires to integrate advocacy through design.

Under the supervision of Dr. Raquel B. Florendo, a group of thirty individuals who have created a product line of multi-use furniture and accessories, all for the benefit of Tulay ng Kabataan, an NGO that provides shelter and bridge programs for the street children of Manila.
