The Alpha Phi Beta Fraternity extends its sincerest wishes to all prospective LAE takers who took the Mock LAE on Day 2 of the 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐬: 𝐋𝐀𝐄 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 last February 22, 2026, at Malcolm Hall, UP College of Law.

Following the mock examination, a panel discussion was held to offer strategies, and clarify common challenges encountered during the test and the admission process. Esteemed speakers also shared words of inspiration which reminded future law students that beyond preparation and technique, perseverance and purpose remain at the heart of entering UP Law.

Through this initiative, the Fraternity continues its commitment to empowering prospective LAE takers, not only with knowledge and readiness, but with the confidence to pursue their calling as future advocates for the nation.

With the LAE commencing in a week's time, you’ll need all the help you can get from the people who’ve proven themselves not just in the exam, but also in the UP College of Law!

Franco Acampado 𝐀Φ𝐁 2022C is a fourth-year student at the UP College of Law and the incumbent Chancellor of the Order of the Purple Feather, after previously serving as its Vice Chancellor. He was elected the 2nd Year Batch Representative in the UP Law Student Government, and later led as Events Head for the Office of the Secretariat of the UP Law Bar Operations Commission. A graduate of Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in Management Economics, Franco was active in both AIESEC and the Ateneo Management Economics Organization, combining leadership, service, and academic excellence.

Hosea Encarnacion 𝐀Φ𝐁 2024J is a second-year evening student at the UP College of Law and a member of the Order of the Purple Feather. Beyond law school, he works as a Relationship Manager at the Bank of the Philippine Islands and serves as Director of the Hearing Heart Foundation, supporting urban poor communities in Metro Manila. A Magna Cum Laude graduate in Management Economics (Financial Economics track), Hosea brings both corporate and community-driven perspectives to the table.

Pablo Casanova 𝐀Φ𝐁 2025B is a first-year evening student at UP Law. He is the incumbent BGC Evening Representative of the UP Law Student Government. Pablo currently works as a Research Assistant at De La Salle University and previously as an Analyst at the Northern Operating Service Asia (Northern Trust). He holds a double degree from De La Salle University - Manila with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

The Fraternity will be hosting the 2nd session, featuring the Mock LAE and exam-taking tips from featured speakers, on February 22, 2026, this coming Sunday, at Malcolm Theater, UP College of Law. Don't miss out!

To contribute to their journey on conquering the college's aptitude test, the Fraternity hosted lectures on the different subjects featured in the exam, and highlighted the different aspects of the admission process and the law school routine through exemplary speakers. The Fraternity will be hosting a Mock LAE session on February 22, 2026, this coming Sunday, that aims to simulate the exam’s environment.

The Alpha Phi Beta Fraternity wishes the best for these prospective LAE takers. The Fraternity hopes that through the lecture series, they are empowered by knowledge, and that their dreams and aspirations of becoming a true be ever guided by wisdom as they take the leap of faith in the name of liberty and service to the Filipino nation.

Atty. John Philippe Chua, MSFin 𝐀Φ𝐁 2017A is a Topnotcher (Rank 4) of the 2024 Philippine Bar Examinations. He currently works as a Business Success Director at Onward Worldwide Management & Consultancy Services, Inc. and is the Founder and Treasurer of AlphaLex, Online Bar Review platform. He was a former Treasurer of the UP Law Student Government (A.Y. 2021-2022), as well as a member of the Order of the Purple Feather.

John Jared Garcia 𝐀Φ𝐁 2019E is a third-year student at the UP College of Law. He is currently an Editor for the 99th Volume of the Philippine Law Journal, the oldest English-language law review in Asia. He is also a member of the Order of the Purple Feather. He placed 3rd Best Speaker in the Preliminary Rounds of the Magallona Cup 2025, where his team also placed 1st-Runner Up and bagged the Best Petitioner Memorial Award.

Arman Matias 𝐀Φ𝐁 2023A is a third-year student at the UP College of Law. He is the current President of the Schola Juris Vespertina (A.Y. 2025-2026), previously serving as the organization's Treasurer. He is a Certified Public Accountant who currently works at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and previously worked as a Financial Officer in the same department.

J**s Argana 𝐀Φ𝐁 2023A is a third-year student at the UP College of Law. He currently serves as the Internal Vice President of the UP Law Student Government (A.Y. 2025-2026), also having previously served as Diliman Evening Representative (A.Y. 2024-2025). During his undergraduate in DLSU, he held the position of Vice Chairperson for National Affairs under the University Student Government Office of the Vice President for External Affairs.

Antwa Constantino 𝐀Φ𝐁 2024J is a third-year law student at the UP College of Law. He is a current staffer at the Philippine Law Register as well as a member of the Order of the Purple Feather. He was the former Project Head for Destinations: UP Law Career and Internship Fair (A.Y. 2025-2026) and the former Chairman of Kaya Natin! Youth in the Quezon Province.

John Gedric Tudio 𝐀Φ𝐁 2016D, currently a third-year student at the UP College of Law, was a member of the national team and a bronze medalist of the 5th International Young Mathematician’s Convention at Lucknow, India. He currently serves as the Bar Operations Head of Schola Juris Vespertina, and previously held the Diliman Evening Representative position for the UP Law Student Government (A.Y. 2024 - 2025).

Mark Russell Caranzo 𝐀Φ𝐁 2021N currently studies in the UP College of Law as a first-year student. Aside from being an Undergraduate Scholarship Awardee of the DOST, he founded Russtriction Site, an Education-centered Tiktok Page, and Acadgenius Tutorial Powerhouse, an online academic center that offers tutorials and entrance exam review materials.

George Liwanag 𝐀Φ𝐁 2024F, a second-year student at the UP College of Law, has been a Licensed Professional Teacher, specializing in English, since 2020. He serves as the Wellness Officer for Schola Juris Vespertina and currently works as a Political Affairs Assistant in the House of Representatives.

Maverick Sua 𝐀Φ𝐁 2025C currently studies as a first-year student at the UP College of Law. He is a member of Mensa International, the largest and oldest high-IQ society in the world and was formerly Top 94 in the World for Rubik’s Cube One-Handed Solving.

Seijiro Ogata 𝐀Φ𝐁 2025I is a second-year student at the UP College of Law. He is part of the Order of the Purple Feather, the official Honors Society of UP Law—also working as an intern at the Philippine Law Journal, the oldest English language law review in Asia. He was also a Research Assistant at the UP Law Center Paralegal Training Program.

The path to becoming a lawyer is one laden with obstacles and uncertainties. Oftentimes, one might forget why they aspired to pursue law in the first place. Thus, the best motivation to push through despite hardship is firsthand experience of someone who’s managed to endure it all and emerge wiser and better. This and more to be heard from Atty. Charles Kenneth “CK” Lijauco 𝐀Φ𝐁 2019B as he talks about 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐔𝐏 𝐋𝐚𝐰 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞!

As a Bar Topnotcher, Atty. CK placed 20th in the recent 2024 Philippine Bar Examinations. He currently works as an Associate at SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan (SyCip Law), one of the largest law firms in the Philippines. He graduated Cum Laude and received the Dean’s Medal for Academic Excellence from the UP College of Law. He's currently an aspiring human rights lawyer, advocating for rights towards persons with disability.

During his studies at UP Law, Atty. CK also served as an Editor of the prestigious Philippine Law Journal in its 94th Volume and as Vice Chancellor of the Order of the Purple Feather, the official Honor Society of the UP College of Law.

As long as the drive for service to the people is alive, one can conquer the legal world!
