Public transport electrification in the Philippines is entering a critical phase of development as initiatives move from pilot testing to wider implementation. To support this transition, a platform for sharing knowledge and engaging stakeholders is needed.

This webinar will bring together representatives from government agencies, the transport industry, academe, and research institutions to discuss current initiatives, experiences, challenges, and opportunities in public transport electrification.

Learn the basics of the Korean language and gain a deeper appreciation of Korean culture through a structured and engaging learning experience with Dr. Hyeondong Hwang.

Pierangeli Vital, PhD, head of the UP Diliman Natural Sciences Research Institute Biological Research and Services Laboratory and a Gawad Pangulo for Natatanging REPS awardee, and her team investigate the extent of microbial contamination in Laguna Lake, with a goal “to understand not only the lake’s microbial community but also the antibiotic resistance genes those communities carry. To do that, they turned to a technique known as nanopore sequencing.”

Using portable genomic sequencing, UP microbiologist and Gawad Pangulo awardee, Dr. Pierangeli Vital, and her team mapped the lake's hidden microbial world, revealing why environmental surveillance is one of our best tools for protecting public health — long before problems become national emergencies.
