Assumption Language College - ALC

It's the first short film viewing activity this academic year at ALC. The two short films--"A Small Step" and "Father and Daughter"--talk about the deep connection between a father and his child.

The short film viewing activity was facilitated by Teacher Faith (for pre-A1 to A2 learners) and by Teacher John (for B1 to C2 learners) this cycle.

How do you keep yourself safe while riding the LRT or MRT?

Teacher Rizza and her Virtus (B1) learners gave a short presentation on the best practices while on the train.

We celebrate the 20th anniversary of the presence of the Augustinians of the Assumption in the Philippines.

ALC proudly congratulates our two former learners from South Korea--Br. Robert of the Augustinians of the Assumption and Br. Gabriel of the Diocese of Masan, South Korea--on their ordination to the deaconate.

Br. Robert learned English at ALC in 2018 and 2022 while Br. Gabriel was our learners in 2023.

We are praying for the success of this new mission, Brothers!

It's the first day of the academic year 2026 and the First Cycle. ALC welcomes to its classrooms learners from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, Korea, Taiwan, Haiti, Congo, Peru, and Cameroon!

This is going to be one exciting cycle for the learners and the teachers!

Happy New Year! May we all have a joyful, healthy, blessed 2026.

It's the start of the 1st Cycle 2026 on Monday, 5 January. See you all!

Today, we commemorate the heroism and martyrdom of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal.

May we all be inspired by the courage and greatness he showed in fighting for the independence of the Philippines from its Spanish colonizers.

From all the learners, teachers, and administrative staff of Assumption Language College, we greet everyone a Merry Christmas. May we always be reminded of the birth of Christ and the promise of our salvation!

We thank the reading and writing teachers this cycle for facilitating the writing activities, gathering and choosing the essays for publication, and for teaching well and inspiring our learners to express their ideas in their target language.
