SPOOF ADS 2021 QUALIFIED ENTRIES

The contest is open to all Senior High School students (Grades 12) who are currently taking Media and Information Literacy (MIL) in San Francisco High School.

SPOOF AD is a commercial design competition for MIL students. It challenges participants to deconstruct and reconstruct an advertisement to deliver a more truthful and honest message to consumers. All participants must do some basic research about the product and service they chose to spoof before submitting their entries.

This contest aims to develop students’ cognizance as media consumers and producers to raise awareness about pertinent issues on health, social issues, and general beliefs.

So, questions like “How effective is this product or service to people?” will be somehow answered through these entries.
Here are the qualified spoof ads.

Three winners will be announced on the 4th week of November.

In this digital age media literacy is an important skill for the 21st century learners. The digital age has made it easy for anyone to create media. We do not know who created something, why they made it, and whether it is credible. Nonetheless, media literacy is an essential skill in the digital age.

Let us watch the infomercial created by our Champion in the Infomercial contest bearing the theme "Responsible Use of Media."
