Education knows no boundaries! In 2009, Filipino educator Efren Peñaflorida earned the global CNN Hero of the Year award for his revolutionary "Kariton Klasrum."

Natapos man ang MIBF 2026, ang biyahe ng Functional Love ay ngayon pa lang talaga nagsisimula. 💙

More than a milestone, it was a beautiful gathering of minds and hearts aligned with one purpose: to create a safer, more accepting world for every child and individual with special needs.

Ang bawat yakap, kwento ng luha, at ngiti habang ginaganap ang book signing ay paalala kung bakit natin ginagawa ito. It is for the parent who needed validation, the educator seeking better strategies, and the child who deserves to be fully understood and loved.
Hindi nagtatapos sa mga pahina ng libro ang ating layunin. Baon natin ang inspirasyon mula sa inyong lahat upang magpatuloy sa pagbuo ng isang komunidad na puno ng malasakit at pagmamahal.

Long before "inclusive education" became a global movement, dedicated teachers in the Philippines were already breaking barriers for children of all abilities! 🌟

In 1907, the country’s first SPED school was founded in Pasay City. Since then, generations of Filipino SPED teachers have dedicated their lives to adapting lessons, teaching braille and Filipino Sign Language (FSL), and ensuring that no child is left behind.

SPED educators remind us that learning isn't one-size-fits-all—it is about meeting every child right where they are with patience, heart, and belief in their potential.🤍

Instead of praising only the final result (e.g., "You are so smart!"), try praising their effort and strategy (e.g., "I noticed how hard you worked on that puzzle!"). This simple shift in communication teaches children not to fear mistakes, but to view challenges as opportunities to grow.
