SMC REMEMBERS. WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

Setyembre 21: Ngayong araw, ating ginugunita ang ika-54 na anibersaryo ng pagdedeklara ng Martial Law sa Pilipinas.

Bilang bahagi ng paggunita, nagsagawa ng panalanging bayan sa pangunguna ng piling mag-aaral mula Baitang 4 hanggang Baitang 12. Sa bawat panalangin, may simbolismong inialay na sumasalamin sa ating mga adhikain na patuloy na ipaglaban ang kalayaan, katarungan, at kapayapaan.

Kasabay nito, ating inaalala at ipinapanalangin ang mga martir at bayani na nag-alay ng kanilang buhay at tapang sa paglaban sa Martial Law at sa pagtatanggol ng ating mga kalayaan.

Sa paggunita, dala natin ang panawagang patuloy na pangalagaan ang alaala ng ating kasaysayan, pakinggan at alalahanin ang mga tinig ng mga nakaranas ng pang-aabuso at paglabag sa karapatang pantao, at matuto mula sa nakaraan upang hindi na maulit ang mga karanasang nagdulot ng pagdurusa sa ating bayan.

Nawa’y magsilbing paalala ang kanilang mga sakripisyo na ang kalayaan, katarungan, at kapayapaan ay mga pagpapahalagang dapat nating patuloy na pangalagaan at ipagtanggol.

September 20: Parent Fellowship and Term 1 Card Distribution

During the plenary, Ms. Bernaden Velasquez shared her reflection on “Parents as Partners in Forming a Life-Enhancing Culture,” highlighting the important role of parents in nurturing their children’s emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being and in cultivating a culture of safety, peace, and respect that begins at home.

The conversation continued in the classrooms through “Lakbay-Kapatiran. Sa Daan ni Francisco: Pakikinig, Paglalakbay, at Sama-samang Pagkilala sa Tawag ng Espiritu,” a Franciscan-synodal framework for listening, dialogue, discernment, and journeying together.

The day concluded with the Term 1 Card Distribution, celebrating the learners’ growth and strengthening the partnership between home and school. 🤍

Sama-sama sa pakikinig. Sama-sama sa paglalakbay. Sama-sama sa paghubog ng buhay na makabuluhan.

September 18: Stella Maris College joins the other Catholic schools of the Diocese of Cubao in prayer and thanksgiving through the Mass of the Holy Spirit at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Lantana, Cubao, Quezon City, with students, teachers, and administrators as representatives.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Your love. 🕊️🙏🔥

September 17: Celebrating the Feast of the Stigmata of St. Francis 🕊️🙏🏻

Pax et Bonum! ✨

The whole Stellan community joyfully commemorates the Feast of the Stigmata of St. Francis of Assisi, reflecting on his deep love for Christ, humble service, and commitment to living the Gospel.

Grade 5–12 students gathered in prayer through the celebration of the Holy Mass, while the lower grade levels participated in a meaningful paraliturgical celebration.

May the example of St. Francis of Assisi inspire us to embrace humility, compassion, simplicity, and love for God and all of creation. May we continue to carry Christ’s love in our hearts and share it through our words and actions. 🌿🤎

SMC-FAMILY COUNCIL (SMCFC) TEAMBUILDING 2026 ✨🔥

The SMCFC Team Building 2026, held on September 12, 2026, brought together the SMCFC Executive Board Members in a meaningful experience of fellowship, reflection, and collaboration. It provided an opportunity for the officers to recognize and appreciate their individual gifts and strengths, strengthen relationships, and grow in unity as members of the school community.

More importantly, the experience reminded them that the gifts they have received are not meant to be kept for themselves, but are gifts to be shared generously with others and offered in the service of the community.

The experience also renewed their commitment to becoming Stellan Parents and Educators who embody the values of being Catholic, Franciscan, and Life-Enhancing in their families, in the school community, and in their service to others.

The Season of Creation is an annual Christian celebration dedicated to prayer, reflection, and action for the care of all creation. It runs from September 1, the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, to October 4, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, bringing Christians together across denominations to renew their relationship with God, our Creator, and all creation and to commit to protecting the environment.

Inspired by Ezekiel 47:1–12, this year’s theme highlights God's life-giving water as a symbol of healing and renewal, calling us to protect and restore creation so that nature and people may flourish together.

This Season of Creation, we are invited to reflect on water as a gift that gives life, restores, and helps all of creation flourish.

From September 14 to October 4, drop by the SMC Library Media Center and take a moment to celebrate God’s creation through our simple activities:
