The King Sejong Institute Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2026 King Sejong Institute Correspondent Program.

The program seeks individuals who are interested in sharing local stories and trends related to Korean language, Korean culture, and King Sejong Institute activities through KSIF's official monthly newsletter, *Monthly TtokTtok (월간 똑똑)*.

Today, June 6, is Korean Memorial Day (현충일).

This national observance commemorates the patriots and fallen heroes whose service and sacrifice helped shape the Korea of today.

As learners of Korean language and culture, we take this opportunity to reflect on the significance of this day and remember the values of courage, dedication, and service that it represents.

💡 DID YOU KNOW?

Every year on June 6 at 10:00 AM, sirens sound throughout South Korea for one minute, signaling a nationwide moment of silence in honor of those who gave their lives for the country. During this time, many people pause their daily activities to pay their respects.

We are delighted to share these photos of our students receiving books during our very first Korean Speaking Contest and Completion Ceremony last May 30.

Our sincere gratitude goes to Adarna House and Apop for generously sponsoring books for our students. Your support helps nurture a love for reading and learning among our learners.

Last May 30, 2026, KSI QC2 successfully held the Preliminary Round of the 2026 Korean Speaking Contest at Ateneo. Our participants showcased not only their Korean language proficiency but also their passion, dedication, and confidence as they shared their stories on the themes “Korean in My Daily Life” and “Why I Learn Korean.”
