Proteins and Signaling Pathways Response to Dry Needling Combined with Static Stretching Treatment for Chronic Myofascial Pain in a RAT Model: An Explorative Proteomic Study 02/02/2019

AND BAZINGA! Every morning before each seminar I do a quick scan of the literature to make sure nothing is missed and 2 days ago! on the 29th of Jan this paper was published. Look what i stumbled across!

https://www.mdpi.com/1422-0067/20/3/564

Currently we do not know how these proteins interact in the process of dry needling, but it shows there may be a different mechanism at work and elucidation may help improve diagnostic criteria and clinical decision making in the future for dry needling. This is very exciting! I will do a breakdown of the paper in the near future, since the proteomics can be quite heavy on the theory!

Proteins and Signaling Pathways Response to Dry Needling Combined with Static Stretching Treatment for Chronic Myofascial Pain in a RAT Model: An Explorative Proteomic Study A quantitative proteomic analysis of the response to dry needling combined with static stretching treatment was performed in a rat model of active myofascial trigger points (MTrPs). 36 rats were divided into a model group (MG), a stretching group (SG) and a dry needling combined with stretching grou...
