On September 8th, 2014, New Era University officially started the school wide event Tagis Lakas. The opening ceremony was held at the main building gym on the 4th floor and was headed by NEU President, Dr. Nilo L. Rosas. The closing prayer was led by Brother Dann-Philip D. Cortez. The opening games started on the September 8th and will continue all the way until September 19th, 2014. The sports that will be played include basketball and volleyball for junior and senior division. Many different departments from will be participating such as the College of Computer Studies (CSS), College of Accountancy, College of Engineering and Technology (CET), College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), and many more!

Day one had three scheduled basketball games, highlighted by a close matchup between CBA and CAS with CBA coming from behind and winning 73 to 68. Day 2 also was scheduled for basketball, with CSS overwhelming CET, winning 61 to 54. In celebration of the Centennial Anniversary of the Iglesia ni Cristo, the INC Museum & Gallery and the New Era University has conducted a Heritage tour. This tour aims to reacquaint the brethren with the historical landmarks of the Church.
