The Children Sectoral Council 2nd Quarter Council Meeting and National Anti-Poverty Commission 25th Anniversary were held on June 2023. The meeting was attended by council members representing different child-based organizations from all regions of the Philippines.
The council members collaborated to create resolutions to guide their actions and advocacy in the coming months. The event includes the mini-culminating activity of "World Day Against Child Labor 2023" and the signing of two important documents: the Amended Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Magna Carta of the Poor (MCP) or Republic Act No. 11291 and the Joint Memorandum Circular for the formulation and implementation of the National Poverty Reduction Plan (NPRP). The council expressed its unwavering Commitment to eradicating child labor in the Philippines and creating a child-labor-free nation.
Educo Philippines has been actively championing children's rights and welfare through its representative, Ms. Ronna Alim. She expressed her gratitude and emphasized, "It is an honor and responsibility to be a council member, a big thank you to Educo Philippines for supporting programs and activities related to the youth. EDUCO Philippines and MCPC Donsol became my first training ground to express the youth's issues and concerns better. "
Grateful as the NAPC, Educo Philippines extend the utmost respect to reputable child-based organizations from all regions of the Philippines, wholeheartedly collaborating for the better future, rights, and welfare of children.
