Today, May 14, 2026, the second day of the 14th DOCES Mission Formation Summit (DMFS) opened with a Eucharistic Celebration at the Obispado de Cubao, presided over by DOCES Deputy Superintendent Rev. Fr. Gerald M. Moscardon and concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Raymond Joseph L. Arre, DOCES Superintendent, together with the DOCES chaplains: Rev. Fr. Fred Cristian F. Narvasa, Rev. Fr. Frederick Carlo F. Zabala, parish priest of the Cubao Cathedral.
In his homily, Fr. Moscardon reflected on the summit theme, โBeyond the Crisis: Turning to the Future, Drawing New Maps of Hope.โ As the Church celebrates the feast of St. Matthias the Apostle, he also emphasized the importance of drawing new maps of hope by faithfully following Godโs will, just as St. Matthias did as a devoted follower of Christ.
โAs educators, you must make walking the way, discernment, and prayer part of your lifestyle. Like St. Matthias, remain on course from beginning to end so that you may lead your students toward a map of hope,โ Fr. Moski said.
Fr. Moskiโs words and the Eucharistic Celebration set an inspiring and meaningful tone for another day of insightful sessions at the 14th DMFS.
