UPCAT 2024 Reminder

All applicants who have taken the UPCAT last June 2023, please be reminded that the encoding and submission of Form 2B will be from September 1 to 30, 2023. Access the portal at upcat2024online.up.edu.ph

The certified true copy (CTC) of the SF10 or Form 137 containing Grades 8, 9, 10, and 11, which must be certified by the Grade 12 school, should also be received by the UP Office of Admissions located inside UP Diliman, Quezon City. Grade 12 schools should access the Form 2A portal to update the High School profile and confirm their students, also within the aforementioned dates.

UPCA 2023 General Appeals

First batch results of general appeals will be released on June 30, 2023. If you are offered a slot, please reply to the offer by July 1, 2023 11:59 PM.

The next batch of the general appeals period will be on July 5 to 6, 2023.

Erratum:
It is possible that additional slots will open and will be released on July 3, 2023. If you are offered a slot, please make sure to reply to the offer by July 4, 2023 11:59 PM.

Batch 1 results for degree programs with additional screening will be released on July 14, 2023. For those who will be offered a slot, please make sure to reply to the offer by July 15, 2023 11:59 PM.

The UP Fighting Maroons live to fight another day after doing sorcery on the Adamson Soaring Falcons in the end game. Game 1 of UAAP Season 81 Final Four at the Mall of Asia Arena ended 73-71, in favor of the Fighting Maroons.

MVP Bright Akhuetie sank the game winning undergoal stab on a pinpointed pass from Juan GDL with three seconds left. The Falcons failed to salvage the remaining seconds as Janjan Jaboneta blocked a Hail Mary heave by Espeleta to seal the deal and force a knockout game against the Falcons on Wednesday, November 29.

Paul Desiderio and Juan Gomez de Liaño paced the Maroons with 19 points apiece while Akhuetie, who was running a fever, chipped in six.

It was frantic from the get go, and neither team could pull away with the Fighting Maroons trailing by just one, at halftime, 28-29.

But after the break, UP played with an edginess that translated into a burst of shots that made the humongous UP crowd go wild.

Playing inspired basketball throughout the third quarter, the Fighting Maroons were finally able to pull away, propped up by an 11-point cushion, 54-43 with one quarter left to play.

But the Soaring Falcons just wouldn’t go down without a fight.

With Papi Sarr leading the way, Adamson went on a blistering run and even led the Maroons with less than a minute to play.

Luckily for UP, clutch free throws from Juan GDL and "Atin 'to, Papasok 'to" moments from both Desiderio and Akhuetie pushed them to victory.

UP is now just one win away from making the finals and must beat Adamson on Wednesday, November 29 to achieve a feat it hasn’t accomplished in three decades.

BREAKING: UP postpones UPCAT 2019.

Official announcement regarding the postponement of , which was originally scheduled on September 15-16, 2018, as forwarded by University of the Philippines Vice President for Public Affairs Dr. Jose Dalisay, Jr.:

"The UP Office of Admissions will be postponing the administration of the UPCAT 2019 nationwide.

This decision is based on consultation with UP System officials and weather experts on the latest forecasts on Typhoon Ompong and its expected impact on Northern Luzon and the Eastern Seaboard including Western Visayas, and in consideration of the nationwide scope of the exam that entails synchronized travel arrangements among others which pose undue risks to both UPCAT examinees and UPCAT personnel.

The Office will announce a new date as soon as possible and provide instructions to all examinees."

Vice President for Academic Affairs Maria Cynthia Rose Banzon Bautista issued a memorandum on UPCAT 2018 to provide additional information and facilitate a better understanding of the UPCAT situation.
