The 55th Founding Anniversary of IMSHS | IT’S A WRAP!

Last Saturday, on July 25, 2026, wasn’t just a simple event where constituents of the school decided to gather. At Ismael Mathay Sr. High School, the 55th founding anniversary was celebrated including the Sportsfest, Mr. & Ms. Mathay, along with the Mass Oath-Taking Ceremony for the newly elected student leaders.

We can say for sure that it was a day filled to the brim with memories that will stay with us forever. As the CMC family, we are delighted to be part of this experience, and so we extend our heartfelt gratitude to those that supported our booth. The fun and energy we received made all of our hard work worth it.

We hope to be part of yet another founding anniversary next year, together with the students and constituents of Ismael Mathay Sr. High School. See you once again, until next time!

After this Exhibit, showcasing our club's achievements throughout the years, we are finally back in action!

This coming Saturday on July 25, 2026 will be the day we are most awaiting. As part of the 𝘐𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘦𝘭 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘺 𝘚𝘳. 𝘏𝘪𝘨𝘩 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 (𝘐𝘔𝘚𝘏𝘚) 55𝘵𝘩 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘺, each club and/or organization are to represent a booth.

As the representative for 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘬𝘢, our booth is here, a puzzle-themed booth that uses mainly geometric games that engage the student in logical thinking, problem solving, and the underlying magical concepts. Students will be able to purchase tickets, exclusively, for the Central Mathematics Club (CMC) booth.

Within the MatheMahika are five (5) games:

⟡ 𝓙𝓤𝓛𝓨 𝓙𝓞𝓤𝓡𝓝𝓐𝓛 | 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐅𝐅: 𝐓𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐫’𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Are you a BFF? A Best Friend in Figures! — The orientation for tutors in the Central Mathematics Club project, Math BFF, was held at the Audio-Visual Room (AVR) on July 13, 2026.

Math BFF is a program where students from Grade 7-10 with lower assessment scores are tutored by their own peers. This helps promote an environment where students can feel more comfortable being with their peers, which could better affect their learning habits.

Of course, this will not only be a learning experience for the tutees, but also for the tutors. Students from Grades 9 and 10 volunteered to teach those in junior high school that are still struggling with basic concepts in Mathematics.

During the orientation, the goals and objectives of Math BFF were introduced, along with some reminders on tutoring and mapping. There will be schedules of which grade levels and sections will be tutored throughout the week. In this event, the pledge of commitment for tutors was also declared by every student in the AVR.

⟡ 𝓙𝓤𝓛𝓨 𝓙𝓞𝓤𝓡𝓝𝓐𝓛 | 𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦: 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭’𝐬 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

The Central Mathematics Club (CMC) successfully conducted the Parent’s Orientation for the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program on July 9, 2026.

Under the Republic Act No. 12028, ARAL Program was mandated to support students in regard to their English and Filipino literacy, Mathematics, and Science abilities. It will be implemented for four days every week. Within those four days are intervention sessions designed to hone basic skills of struggling students not just in the classroom, but free tutoring hours after school. To avoid disrupting the instructional block, morning students that are part of the ARAL Program shall extend their time after class hours, while those that are in the afternoon shift will go to school earlier than their normal class hours.

Together, we shall empower learning, foster resilience, and be one in building a brighter future for every student.

This Tuesday, July 7, 2026, marks a significant milestone for the Central Mathematics Club as we successfully finished our officer elections. The new officers elected are not just great but excellent in their own way. As we start our journey, we hope to build a stronger bond with each other and a more inclusive community for every math enthusiast in IMSHS.

From organizing future math challenges to creating collaborative study spaces, the incoming executive board will carry the torch of the “CMC” legacy. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated members for voting us and having their trust with lending us their votes and to our passionate candidates for their commitment to serve.

When we divide our work, multiply our efforts and eliminate challenges, the problems we face do not even go through the solutions we had.
