EXPERIENCE WINTER IN KOREA 🇰🇷

Chungnam National University welcomes students from around the world to
CNU WILL (Winter for International Learners and Leaders), a short-term winter
program that combines academic learning with opportunities to explore Korean
language, culture, and everyday life. ❄️

Through engaging classes, cultural experiences, and excursions to nearby
destinations, participants will enjoy Korea in winter while connecting with students
from diverse backgrounds and creating meaningful international friendships. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏽

Following the announcement of the Quezon City Government on its official page, the UP Diliman (UPD) Office of the Chancellor announced that face-to-face classes at UPD today, 11 September 2026, are suspended due to inclement weather. The members of the faculty are enjoined to conduct alternative modes of learning (synchronous/asynchronous).

Work operations in all UPD units shall remain onsite.

In accordance with Memorandum Circular No. 135, issued by the Office of the President and posted on the Presidential Communications Office page, the UP Diliman (UPD) Office of the Chancellor announced that UPD will observe alternative arrangements for classes and work (except for essential offices) today, 10 September 2026.

ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON SEPTEMBER 4

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 134, alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented at all levels in public and private educational institutions in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 4, 2026, unless their respective Local Chief Executives direct the cancellation or suspension of classes:

The measure is in view of the anticipated continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and poor air quality in the NCR caused by haze from severe forest and peatland fires in Kalimantan and Sumatra, Indonesia.

Localized cancellation or suspension of classes in other areas may be implemented by their respective Local Chief Executives.

Due to the degraded air quality caused by haze from wildfires in Indonesia—a condition affecting Quezon City and the National Capital Region that is expected to persist over the coming days—the UP Diliman (UPD) Office of the Chancellor advised members of the UPD community to wear well-fitting face masks, particularly when commuting or outdoors.
