October 26, 2024. The NCERIES Space Show once again brings joy and interactive experiences to Margarito A. Duavit Integrated School. From the awe-inspiring Dome Space Planetarium and hands-on rocket launching to an exciting exhibit filled with games and space-related activities, students are immersed in an educational journey, experiencing film showings that simulate the space and engaging discussions with lecturer, sparking their curiosity and excitement for the wonders of space.

𝑪𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒔, the only dwarf planet that is located in the inner solar system and the largest object in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. 🪐✨

NASA’s Dawn spacecraft reached Ceres in 2015, making it the first dwarf planet visited by a spacecraft. 🚀🌌

Ceres was considered an asteroid for many years, but its size and differences from nearby rocky neighbors led scientists to classify it as a dwarf planet in 2006. Although it makes up 25% of the asteroid belt’s mass, Pluto is still 14 times more massive.

Pluto is a dwarf planet in the Kuiper Belt, an a distant region in our solar system that lies beyond Neptune. In 2006, the International Astronomical Union changed Pluto's classification from ninth planet to dwarf planet.

𝟯 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁:
A planet is a celestial body that (a) is in orbit around the Sun, (b) has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a hydrostatic equilibrium (nearly round) shape, and (c) has cleared the neighborhood around its orbit.

According to the IAU, Pluto has not "cleared its neighbouring region of other objects," which means that it still has a lot of asteroids and other space rocks along its flight path instead of absorbing them over time like the larger planets have. This makes Pluto a "dwarf planet."

The dwarf planet Haumea is a part of the Kuiper Belt, a group of objects that orbit in a zone that resembles a disc and is located beyond Neptune's orbit.

Haumea is one of the fastest rotating celestial objects in our solar system. One orbit around the Sun takes Haumea 285 Earth years. Haumea completes one rotation every four hours. Due to its rapid spinning, it distorts Haumea's shape, making it look like an egg.

He was an American engineer and inventor who is widely recognized as the father of modern rocketry. In 1914, his groundbreaking work in liquid-fueled rockets began leading to the first successful launch of such a rocket in 1926. Goddard's innovations laid the foundation for future space exploration, influencing the development of both military and civilian rocket technology.

September 29, 2024, Team Nceries Space Road Show delivered an exciting array of games, experiences, and knowledge at Southville 5A School. From the space dome and rocket launching to interactive exhibits and hands-on activities, the Space Road Show captivated students and sparked their interest in science and exploration. Participants engaged with various displays, learned about the universe, and even had the chance to simulate space missions, making it a memorable day for everyone involved.

Meet Polish Astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus.
During the 1500s, when the majority of people thought that Earth was the center of the universe, Copernicus put out his theory that the planets rotated around the sun. It provided a solid framework on which later scientists, like Galileo, could expand and advance our knowledge of how stars and planets move.

As we wrapped up the space science roadshow held at Malhacan Integrated School last October 01 2024, we would like to extend our gratitude to the people behind this success as well as the students and teachers who welcomed us. It is indeed an exciting and full of fun and knowledge event.
